"Well you know what Iverson used to say" Lance grinned as he and Pidge walked a little ahead of the group, car-15 assault rifle in his hand while his sniper stayed in its case on his back. His and the rest of his unit army hiking bags left by some trees for them to grab after their assault on the base. 

"You pains in the ass's better not die in this war or I'll be stuck with more paperwork" Pidge replied in her best Iverson voice before the two burst out laughing. Pidge was wearing Lance jacket, all button up after she sat beside him last night while Keith lit the fire, he just undone his jacket showing his unifrom polo top under before draping it over her without a word. They allowed her to keep the enemy handgun on her as a weapon and Shiro passed over his army knife to her for back up.

"Man, I wonder if Iverson was crying in joy over finally getting rid of GUNDERSON or crying in pain over the paperwork .. guess he cry more when the paperwork was unneeded" Lance grinned cheekily, saying her last name in his best angry Iverson voice before returning to his normal voice.

"I didn't even think about that, for sure during my next break I'll go pay him a visit and watch him cry" Pidge smirked before the two chuckled.

"They aren't being very sneaky" Keith sighed as he, Shiro and Hunk walked a couple feet behind covering their rear, all three holding their own car-15 assault rifles in their hands, arm knifes strapped to a tight or their lower leg with a spare handgun strapped to their back belt. 

"They just excited over meeting the other again, It seems they were close during their training days and was in the same unit. The same unit that Lance thought he was the only survivor after a certain battle .. I think he just glad he hasn't lost everyone to this war, not while she still alive. I'm sure many would either be crying or acting like this once they found someone important to them"  Shiro replied with a friendly smile, he was enjoying seeing this side of Lance. He knew lance wasnt just a flirty goofy since they seen the chilled caring side of Lance but it was rare yet this stranger made him show it with ease. 

"I think its nice, I mean we all agree this side of lance is better then the big old flirt who won't stop talking over women or guys who caught his eyes. Plus he seems more mature and chilled with her, like he has no reason to hide behind a mast to protect himself from harm .. he can just trust her with his heart with such ease. Its nice to see" Hunk smiled sweetly, his grip still tight on his gun but it was only nerves from just walking into a base not sneaking in.

"But I must say, Pidge does remind me of someone .. she even looks like him but there no way she could ever be him. He was buried when Lance was still in training, its just nice to find someone like the old friend I knew" Shiro smiled slightly, slight pain in his eyes as old memories returned.

"I know its hard but you must leave the past behind, he wouldn't want you to keep feeling pain over his death. He would just want you to keep fighting for peace and move on with your life to be happy" Keith spoke up, placing a hand on Shiro shoulder while his other held his gun. Shiro gave a thankful nod letting Keith know he be ok.
