Author's Note - I was bored one day, so I decided to write a chapter of a fan fiction I had in my head. Also, things will go a bit slow in the beginning. It would be nice to get some feedback too:)

Sutton's point of view
It was pouring down outside. I took my wet leather jacket and threw it in my bag. Dammit! I looked down at my muddy combat boots. As I walked into Plymouth Life Center, the scent of chlorine filled my nose. This will be my home for the next three years, give or take. Chlorine is just as familiar as the scent of home.
'Sutton Halls,' I said to the lady behind the reception-counter. 'I'm here for Mr. Andy Banks,' The woman behind the desk checked me in and told me to change in the female's locker room. Gee thanks. I was going to change in the men's locker room.
It was still early in the morning, so not many people were to be seen at the pool side. A rather young man with a muscular physique dove a perfect back 2 and a half somersault with a back 2 and a half twist . Impressive. I realized that I must have been standing there like a fool gazing at this guy when he resurfaced. He was amazingly tan after a long winter in England.
A bald man stood at the edge and commented at the dive. He must be Andy Banks. I firmly walked towards him to introduce myself, but my urges to dive had grown after seeing such a marvelous dive.Afterall, I haven't been diving for a week. All of a sudden, I noticed I'd pass the man I was supposed to talk to and slowly began to climb the steps. After a couple of seconds I stood on the 10m platform.
'Miss! You have to get down! It's not safe!' Mr Banks shouted with a thick British accent from the edge of the pool. My ears were listening, but my heart and body wanted something else. They wanted the adrenalin from taking off the platform and from the falling in mid-air stuff. Without blinking, I had taken off to do my signature dive. A front 4 and a half somersaults. Within seconds I was surrounded by water. The chlorine stung my eyes badly, and I loved it.
After staying in the water like that for a moment, I swam to the surface to see Mr Banks looking at me.
'I'm so sorry, sir. I just had to...' My words were floating in the air. I meant to do that. Why am I apologizing? I pulled myself out of the pool. 'Sir, my name's Sutton Halls. I'm the transfer from overseas. I'm here as the new diver' I reached out my hand to shake his, but got no response. Come on, don't leave me hanging! I slowly removed my hand when the tan Brit came up to me and grabbed it.
'Tom, nice to meet you Sutton' He said and flashed his straight row of pearl-white teeth. Wonder what tooth paste he uses. In his other hand he was holding his rather colorful shammy. His dark brown eyes met mine in a splint of a second before he moved his gaze to his trainer. Banks hadn't said a thing after I took off the platform. Maybe he's angry. I couldn't read his face. It was so emotionless.
'Again, and this time a little bit faster in the rotation. Your entry has to come sooner, or else you'll create a tsunami' He looked me straight into my hazel eyes. I nodded after every word he said. With respect of course. I was about to turn around to climb the steps again when he stopped me 'And next time, don't jump when I say not to, capiche?' He frowned his bushy eyebrows.
'Yes, sir' I replied quickly and walked fast to grab my shammy.

A/N: OK. Things may seem a little bit confusing in the beginning, but I promise (to try) to sort things out in the next(few) chapters.

Sutton's point of view
I was on my way out of the building when I was stopped by a familiar voice. The large frame of Tom caught up on me and we ended up walking alongside each other down the hallway.
'What brings you here, Sutton?' He said in an extremely sexy Plymouth accent. What types of British accent aren't sexy? None...
I looked at him strangely. Can't I girl move from the US to the UK without being asked why? Honestly, I didn't really want to answer him.
'I mean, what made you switch teams, move to Plymouth etc, etc?' Only being a 5"8, he seemed a lot taller wearing a dark blue blazer and a slightly too large white shirt. Maybe he was on his way to school or something. I heard that they usually wear uniforms here in the UK.
'Well...' What am I going to say? Hey, Tom, a girl on my team, Kassidy Cook, tried to drown me at practice after the Beijing Olympics because we ended up in fourth and came home without a medal? No, I'm not going to say that. "Are you going to school or is that your actual style?" I slightly poked his arm and teased him.
"School" He laughed a smooth and awkward laugh as he smiled at the ground. "Apropos school, Sutton, which school are you going to the next years?" Good question, which school?
"I dunno. Maybe I'll be homeschooled this year for a change" It wasn't really a big change. I was mainly homeschooled, but I attend school at least once a week as a normal kid. You're so normal, Sutton.
We exited the main door as a van drove up towards us. A man in his late thirties rolled down the window.
"Tom, you'll have time for girls later. You will be late for school!" A blush stroke over Tom's face and a giggle slipped out of my mouth.
"Your dad?" I mouthed with a big smile on my face. His cheeks were turning into a bright red color and he nodded. "OK, I'll see you later" I couldn't help but smile wide and wave both of them goodbye while they drove away. They're such a cute father-son duo.
