Sutton's point of view

The sun settled down in the horizont in the west. The ocean was tangerine orange, and the sky a faded coral color. My hotel room had a great air condition system which allowed me to cool off from an entire day in the sun running. On the other hand, my thoughts were somewhere else. What did I think of, you ask? Tom... I kept playing with him and casually flirting once in a while. Also, he has been taken a notice in me too. Sometimes I would feel more than I needed to, and maybe even more than I wanted to. We would casually joke together. Even sometimes he will put his arm around me, just to clarify that I was off limits for the other guys who were trying to hit on me. Cute. We needed a serious DTR. Define the relationship.

Knock, knock. The simple and montone sound of knockles hitting the thick door snapped me back to reality. I pulled on a clean tee and opened the door. Tom stood there in just an open hoodie, which revealed his tanned, toned abs, and a pair of blue shorts.

'Are you busy?' He smiled and lent towards the edge of the door. I smiled back. His smile was unavoidable. There was something about those white teeth that I couldn't keep my eyes off.  We both lied down sideways on the king sized bed, facing each other. We hadn't spoken in days or maybe even weeks. Maybe I should stop. Stop playing with his feelings. Stop acting like I care when I certainly don't. But deep inside, I knew I really cared. Not about my fame and fortune, nor my sponsors or career. I basically cared about the guy who lied there in front of me, playing with my sun bleached hair.

'Is there a us?" I couldn't help myself as the words spilled out of my mouth.

'Do you want it to be a us?" He asked. I hated when people did that; answering back with another question. How is that going to help me at all?

'Of course' And again, the words just flew out of my mouth, and I soon regretted them all. I wanted to take it all back. Travel back in time, and fix it all so this didn't happen. His hand was gently placed on my lower tigh and slowly moving upwards. I placed my hand behind his neck and closed up. In seconds I had pushed him over. As we lied there on top of each other, there was no space between us. Just the couple of inches between our lips. Tom quickly grabbed the chance to kiss me. A passionate kiss was shared in the room with the dimmed lighting. I got chills on my arms and let my worries go away. Such thing as regret didn't excist anymore. It was only Tom and me. The pace quickened and it was about to get intense when all of a sudden the hotel phone rang. We both froze on the spot while pulling away from each other. His warm breath which once brushed against my cool neck, faded away.

'Maybe I should go' He whispered as if someone could hear us, before he quickly pecked me on the lips and left me alone. The phone however didn't stop ringing.  I cleared my throat and forced myself to answer it;

'Hello, this is Sutton'.......
