During lunch, the obnoxious sound of "Hey, hey, hey!" echoed through the air.

Your brain began to sizzle with uneasiness as his loud call irked you.

Every couple of days for the past 2 weeks. You found yourself needing a new place to eat. Today your patience paralleled the availability of newer locations to eat.

Both were nonexistent.

"Hey, hey, hey Y/N-chan!" He exclaimed with a huge smile.

You inwardly groaned at the inconvenience his appearance was causing you.

Him again, with that big goofy smile of his.

That's it!

Today is the day!

"Bokuto-san." You said with a sigh. Foolishly hoping this would show that you were displeased.

"Can't you see, I'm trying to avoid you?"

"Eh? You're trying to avoid me? I thought we were playing hide and go seek."

Clearly confused by this revelation.

Hide and go seek?

He...this whole time he thought we were playing!?!

A facepalm was the only physical reaction your body took as you commenced in an internal yell.

Taking a short breath you, allowed a familiar aggressive emotion to gradually take over.

"Bokuto san, please leave me alone."

He looked at you curiously then grinned.

"Oi, you're pretty cute when you're angry."

What is with him?!?

Is he even listening to what I'm saying?!?

"I'm not doing it to be cute, I'm doing it to be angry." You said through gritted teeth.

Your voice started to get louder.

"Why don't you get it? I don't know you and you definitely, don't know me!"

Your tears started falling from frustration.

"Go bother some other girl, and leave me alone!"

You yelled as you turned away from him, embarrassed at how you were choosing to showcase your emotions.

Just leave, please.

"Y/N I'm sorry I made you cry, but I'm not going to leave you alone...like this." His voice was serious, concerned about your current state.

Ugh why... but all you could reply was in tears and sniffles.

He got closer to you and gently pulled your arm from your face.

His owlish eyes surveying your puffy red face as the tears streamed down it.

You didn't want him near you, let alone see that he affected you, however when he touched your arm you just let him. Your mind was yelling in protest, but your body was just going with the flow.

"I'm sorry for being too forward."

He paused as he contemplated his words, then quickly continued.

"Sometimes, I forget to consider another persons' boundaries when I'm excited to see them y' know? "

He's excited to see me?  Your heart thumped.

His eyes left yours to the ground and his hand dropped to the side.

"But I don't want just any girl, I want you." His stated just above whisper.

You really expect me to believe that? Fl-flattery. Your guarded mind echoed however, your heart, however still thumped.

His gaze caught your eyes again.

"I'm willing to wait until you realize we are inevitable."

You just stared at him completely caught up in the moment of his words mixed with feeling uncomfortable under his bird of prey like gaze.

His eyes,

are really...

 intense.

A light pink blush colored your cheeks as you looked down.

Your discomfort was shaken from you. Without warning  his hand painfully jolted you forward, breaking the tension between you both.

Playfully with a loud energetic chuckle he added.

"I heard you're an ice queen, so let's warm up and be friends! Yeah?"

Much to your chagrin, hearing the hurtful label from junior high made you recover from the temporary emotional paralysis.

You side eyed him and abruptly moved away.

"No thanks, I'm not interested in becoming friends with someone that further spreads a wide misconception of me."

The bell rung for afternoon classes.

You walked away leaving a chilled, confused, and twice rejected Bokuto Kotaro.
