Five years ago: Yo (16) Ming (18) Forth (19)

"Today's Yo's birthday. Do you wanna help me after school with a mini party for him?" Ming asked Forth over the phone as he walked to school.

"Yeah, what do you need me to do? I have one class today at one. Before then I can get everything set up for you," Forth said and he sat up in his bed and ran a hand through his hair.

"That sounds good. Could you pick up the cake from the café beside the college, and then go to the mall and go to the jewelry store? Just ask for 'Third' and he'll give you everything." Ming said.

"Sounds good. Where am I taking everything?" Forth asked and wrote everything down on his laptop.

"Just come pick me up from school, then we'll head over to Yo's. Make sure he doesn't see you," Ming said and Forth said alright before hanging up.

Forth sighed and laid back in bed before looking over at his bedside table. He has his phone, a clock, speaker, lamp, and a picture of him and Yo on his table.

Forth smiled and picked up the picture before taking it out of it's frame and pulling out an envelope from behind it.
Forth wrote a letter to Yo a few months ago, a confession letter. But he was too scared to give it to the younger... So he kept it hidden behind the photo all this time.

"Today's the day... Hopefully he doesn't reject me too badly," Forth sighed and got out of bed to shower and get ready for the day.

- after school -

"Get in loser," Forth joked as Ming walked towards the car. Ming laughed and got in buckling up.

"Got everything?" Ming asked.

"Yeah, Kit distracting Yo?" Forth asked. Ming nodded.

"What's in the box?" Ming asked seeing a small box on Forth's lap.

"It's my gift for Yo," Forth said and Ming was curious what it was.

"I'm going to confess to him. I also got him the last One Piece book he needs to complete his collection," Forth said and Ming awed at how cute that was.

"I can tell you this. He likes you too - he just doesn't know how to express it. Just, don't ask him in front of his dads... They really aren't ready for that... Yo's been sheltered and innocent his whole life - let's not spark awkward family talks. Don't worry though. I'll distract his Dads while you ask." Ming said and Forth smiled.

"Thank you Ming. Do you at least give me your blessing to date him? You're his best friend." Forth asked and Ming nodded.

"You're the only person I want to have Yo. I only trust you or myself with him. He's my baby brother, I don't want to see him hurt." Ming said and Forth nodded understanding.

"Thank you," Forth said and they pulled into Yo's drive way a few minutes later.

They got out, and grabbed their stuff before walking into the house to set up for the party.

"Mr. and Mx. P! We're here!" Ming yelled and lead Forth to the living room to start setting up.

"Hi Ming! Who's this?" Mr. P asked and Ming introduced Forth to one of Yo's Dads.
