"Babe!" Justin yelled from upstairs.

"I'm down here!" you yelled back.

"Look what I found!" you heard his footsteps coming down the stairs.

When he got down, he came running in front of you with the biggest smile on his face holding out his phone. You grabbed his phone and saw that he had an image up of a black girl with a braid in her hair.

"That's pretty," you said as you handed him back the phone.

"I wanna try it," he shoved his phone in his pocket.

"You can try it on Jazzy the next time we see her," you continued looking down at the computer in your lap.

"But I want to try it now," he whined as he sat down on the couch beside you.

"Go to Target and buy a doll," you shrugged.

"Why can't I try it on your hair?" he asked.

You turned your neck to look at him so fast, you're surprised you didn't get whiplash.

You bust out laughing, "Justin, I love you, but you got the wrong one baby."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

You laughed again because he sounded genuinely confused even though you knew good and well you had explained your hair to him so many times to him already.

"Justin," you pushed the laptop off your lap and turned in the couch towards him, "Touch your hair."

"What?" he asked.

"Touch your hair," you repeated and watched as he reached his hand up to his hair, "Now feel mine."

He reached his hand out and grabbed one of the curls on your head.

"Do you feel like difference?" you asked.

"Nope."

"Then something's wrong with you," you smiled and stood up.

"Please baby girl," he said behind you, "I just want to do it this one time."

You sighed, "Fine, only this once."

30 minutes, two deep conditionings and a serious combing session later, you sat on the floor between Justin's legs as he brought up a video on how to braid on the internet.

"Why do you want to do this so bad anyway?" you asked over the sound of the instructor in the video.

"Because when we have a daughter, I want to be able to at least do her hair once especially if you don't feel like it."

You smiled at his answer as he dug his hands into your jungle of a hair.
