"I don't see why you waited until last minute to get your mom a gift Y/N," your best friend said, scolding you.

"Oh shut up," you reply, "Let me call you back in about half an hour."

After you say your goodbyes, you pull on your coat over your cocoa skin. As you step out of the car, you feel the cold breeze hit your face, pushing your big, natural curls back and your teeth begin to chatter.

You had flown up to Canada to celebrate Christmas with your family and immediately regretted it. You had delayed going out to the store because of the cold weather but it wasn't getting any better and Christmas was 2 days away and you still hadn't gotten a gift for your mother.

Trying not to slip on the ice, you walked as fast as you could to get into the store.

You remembered your mothers' hobby and how she always talked about wanting something she could use to enhance it or whatever.

As you reached the appropriate aisle, you began scanning the shelves for exactly what you were looking for. You notice a man on his phone leaning against the aisle across from the one you were looking on the thing for. Coincidentally, what you were looking for just happens to be right in front of the man, who was now talking on the phone.

"Hallelujah," you mumble as you realize it's the last one left. You reach out to grab it as you feel a light tap on your shoulder.

"Excuse me ma'am," you turn around and see the man standing behind you with his hands buried in his pockets.

"Yes?" you reply as you push one of your curls back out of your face.

"My friend was just about to buy that," he says with a small smile.

You look him from his feet back up to his eyes and say sarcastically, "Oh, that's nice."

You turn back around, grab the box and begin to walk off.

"Hey, I said my friend was going to buy that," he comes and stands in front of you.

You shift your weight from one foot to the other. This man was seriously starting to piss you off and if he knew what was good for him he'd move out the way.

"Listen here, buddy," you snapped, "I heard you the first damn time and obviously I didn't care. Plus, I don't see your 'friend' here anyway. Now, this is me asking you nicely to move out my damn way."

"Hey man, I'm sorry, but I really had to pee," a voice came from behind you.

Something went off in your head - you knew that voice. You sent the man standing in front of you one last death glare before you turned around. The box that was in your hands had now fallen to the floor. The noise of the glass in the box breaking was distant in your ears; all you could hear was your heart beating 20 times faster than usual.

Your knees went weak and your head dizzy. Were you dreaming? Could this really be true? Could the famous pop singer Justin Bieber really be standing right in front of you?

As he got closer, he looked down at the box at your feet, to the space on the shelf where the box once was, to your eyes. Before, your heart was beating way too fast but now, it wasn't beating at all.

'Don't faint, don't faint, don't you dare faint,' you repeated in your mind, 'Don't say anything stupid.'

"Dude, I leave you for 5 minutes to go pee and watch my box," he looked at his friend that right back at you, "But you let a stunning girl like the one standing before me get ahold of it?"

"I told her it was yours but she's being hard headed," his friend said behind you.

"It's not yours," you spoke up, surprised you could even form a sentence, "You didn't buy it and I had every intention of walking out of here with it." You put your hands on your hips and shift your weight to one foot with attitude.

"Oh, it is my box darling," he winked and you felt your heart flutter. "Justin," he extended his hand towards you.

You took it and shook it softly, "Y/N."

"Y/N, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl," he smiled, "But it looks like neither of us can get it anymore. It must've broken when you dropped it when you saw me coming."

"I guess so, Justin," you replied. It came out flirtier than you intended and you prayed you didn't sound like a fool.

"Such a shame," he looked at you from head to toe, "Hopefully I'll see you around."

He flashed his pearly white teeth before he turned and began to walk away.

"You don't even know me!" you called after him.

"Trust me," he shouted over his shoulder, "I'll find you shawty."

He turned the corner and then he was gone, leaving you wondering one thing.

What the hell just happened?
