A WEEK AFTER, THE TEACHERS were used to them. Some say ' The New Dummies'. Some say 'The Taciturn Smiths'.
Miss Adesua was infuriated when she had her first class with them, they wouldn't say a single thing.
Now the person that stood in front of them was Mr Mark. With his smiling lips, he said funny stories as he teaches, trying to please them. Only Lily smiled, Darren never did; he only kept his focus on him; as everybody kept laughing, he didn't.

The bell rang for lunch.  The students left for the school cafeteria, Darren stayed behind, sat with his physics textbook. He discovered something about robotics, aspect on actuators; he discoveredthe amount of energy that need to be stored capably of converting it into movement.  He was working on robotics. He is planning to build a robot, watching videos for years on how it's been functioned and how it works had been a great work.
Dave came by, walked to where he was and sat behind him.

"Hello, I'm Dave," he said. He raised his head up at him. he didn't say anything, his eyes just stick to his.

"You're Darren right?. " Dave said further.

He tried to make him speak at least for once.

" I can see you love physics so much. Well, I'm not too good at physics but good at mathematics."

Darren gave a slight expression on his face to tell him he was with him.

"Nice to meet you". Dave said again extending his hand for him to shake. He thought as much he would hate him this time if he wouldn't take his hand.

Darren did stand up not taking his hand. He walked to the door entrance. Dave looked him in shock before he could say further, he finally talked.

"Let's go to the cafeteria," he said and walked away.

Pretty good of him! Dave thought.

When he moved out, he had already walked far away; He walked as fast to meet him. They walked splendidly into the cafeteria.

Darren focused on where he was going to,   he didn't mind the student's gasping screaming, whispering and gazing. He just selected his meal and went to one of the tables where the students weren't much around.

Dave joined him too. He ate with good manners with his fork and knife. Dave did almost like him too.

Darren looked up. His eyes caught Lily, she was sitting with her friend, Joyce. She didn't look at him. He looked away, turning his neck to the left. His eyes caught Gina this time. He had caught her gaze, she had been staring at him. She was beautiful he noticed but he ignored her and turned back to Dave.

" What happened at your former school?" Dave asked

" You don't need to know. Let's go" he said. He mumbled does words out, he sounded rather rude as Dave thought but it was good seeing him talking and was great being around him.

When they were out of the cafeteria, Dave turned to him.

"Would you let me take you around?".
Darren didn't reply but his motives made Dave thought he accepted.

Lily and Joyce stood at a place after closing hours. They were into some conversation.

It still baffles Joyce about Lily's admission. She was somewhat jealous when she told her she was second class money the day she resumed. She couldn't believe it until she wore the second class uniform just yesterday. She had wondered what would be the student reactions when they discover she is not really second class money she is just sponsored.

She had been cool since then but Lily never noticed.

Justin came over, when Joyce saw him she left them together saying goodbye to Lily.

"Hello," Justin said. She looked up to him thinking she should just walk out, but he didn't look rather like someone who deserved it.

"Hi," she said

"I'm Justin"

"I'm Lily"

"You're beautiful," he said. He wasn't shy to say it. Lily almost didn't know how to answer him due to her timidity.

"Thank you" she gave a short smile.

" Are you going home now?"

"Um------yeah"
