BRRRRRIIIIINNG!!!

AN ALARM CLANGED IN THE DARK and silent room. A bed spring creaked. In the dim light a bare hand hanged up on a shelf, moving left—right, it gripped the alarm hard and shut it off!. As soon, the hand went into another direction, it dragged out the curtains sideways, and light flooded into the room. It revealed Lily standing, staring out through window smiling at the broad daylight and at the sound of birds chirping.

It's Saturday morning and it's gonna be great! She sat back on her bed and spun her head, her eyes caught her acoustic guitar standing upright on the wall. She went for it and unloose its bag. The guitar had a wine colour that glitters at the sunray. She held the fret gentle and stroke the springs. The sound it made was a full harmony that made real inspirational music.

She began to sing. Her voice came out as beautiful as usual, singing about the daylight and the sweet good morning.

Her phone made a clicking sound and she took it off the shelf. It was a message from Joyce saying: 'on my way to your house'. She smiled happily. Joyce has never visited her after she was admitted to Louis Alexander. Though she never thought of what'd caused the change, what she'd thought was maybe she was too busy.

As she kept playing her guitar she had her mom voice from the door. When she looked back to her phone there was another message from Joyce: 'am right in your house'. She grinned, dropped her guitar on her bed and went for the door. She meets her mother by the way.

"Good morning mother"

"Joyce is in the living room waiting for you" she said.

" Yeah, I know." As she walked past her mother dragged her back.

"What?"

"Ain't you surprise she came for you after a long time". Her mother said. Lily could see how curious she was.

"I'm surprised too" she said and headed to the living room.

They smiled at each other and embraced. Lily liked the outfit she put on. Native wear that looked so expensive, it has indigo, purple, cyan and blue colours. The scarf she wore made everything look complete.

"I love your dress" Lily confessed. Joyce gave a bright grin that her upper teeth was revealed.

"Thank you" she said.

"So what would you like to eat? . . . we're about to cook so, I will make it snappy"

"Oh . . . I should join you".

" No, don't. . . stay back there and let me serve you"

" I would help you, that's what makes me feel better.."

" Really?" She said and Joyce nodded. "Fine, join me in the kitchen"

Lily paced up to the kitchen so as Joyce. They met Mrs Smith dicing carrots into chops. There was already a pot on the cooking gas housing green and red like things; it bubbled lightly and the aroma went into Joyce's nose. She hummed in response and whispered at Lily's ear how nice it was.

"Mom we would take care of it" Lily said as she went next to her.

"Really?, That's good, I will be in the laundry room then" Mrs Smith said.

" Ok. Meet you there soon". As she was about to go she stopped.

"Lily, don't forget to add parsnips and radishes"

"Ok ma, I will." She said and her mom left. Joyce went to her.

"So what should I do?"

"Put on the apron first. Can you dice vegetables like lettuce?"
