I dried my hair and wrapped a towel around my head as I stood, capturing a glance of myself in the mirror. I was wearing a light pink shirt, bearing the words 'LIVE', with bright blue jeans underneath it; Just the look I wanted. Although, I had no plans left for the day, I still had to follow the rules I made  for myself, and those included wearing an organized outfit even at home, and trust me I'm very strict when it comes to rules.

I took a selfie and then unwrapped the towel from my head letting out my beautiful blonde hair. They fell on my shoulders. I could smell the comforting fragrance of the shampoo with which I had washed my hair a couple of minutes ago. I could feel relaxation entering and tiredness leaving my body. I stood infront of my window. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I could feel the gentle breeze softly touching my skin, enhancing my mood further. Just then, a wave of dizziness caught me and opening my light blue eyes, I let out a yawn as I closed the window and went to my bed to get some sleep. I pulled on the covers and before you knew it, I was off to an extremely deep sleep.

I was woken up to the sound of something breaking through the window. Not sure, but it sounded like a brick. I yawned and rolled my eyes with my hands as I got up from my bed and walked over to the broken window. I could see small pieces of glass everywhere.
"Who's it?"
I asked in a slightly irritated tone. I didn't receive a reply.
"WHO'S IT!!????"
I asked again but the response was no different than before.
I took a glance at my wall clock. It was 4 30 pm. I had gone to sleep at 4 00 pm.
I only had half an hour of sleep before I was rudely woken up by the voice of something breaking through the window. Anger filled me up as I stepped on a piece of broken glass and cut my foot. Irritated, I repeated my question. Anger further flushed through my body when I still didnot recieve a response.
"FINE THEN!"
I said as I picked up my phone to call the police. As I took a glance at my notifications, I was shocked to find out that there were 23 missed calls from my mom.
"Oh my God! She must be worried." I thought to myself as I quickly phoned my mom, only to find it busy.

Just then, I heard the front door's knob being turned and I could hear someone entering the house. I was extremely terrified. I could feel my face turning white of fear. I gulped as I took a glance around me in the hope of finding something which I could use for my defence. I only managed to find a baseball bat, but trust me even a teaspoon would have helped in reducing my fear at that time. So the baseball bat was really something that would come in handy at a time like this. I tossed my phone in my back pocket , picked up the baseball bat and marched towards the front door, repeating the same question
"Who's it?"
I could feel adrenaline rushing through my bloodstream as I stood infront of the front door. A wave of cold breeze caught me as my hair dangled in the air. My heart was pounding against my ribs. I could feel sweat dripping off from my forehead. I closed my eyes as I gathered some courage, then opened them again to let out a sigh. I gripped the baseball bat firmly and asked again
"WHO'S IT??!!!!"
My hands started sweating as well as shaking violently. Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, I jumped as I felt a hand on my right shoulder. I turned around. My eyes widened, it felt like they would pop out of their sockets, when I finally discovered who that person was. He was a really huge man, probably in his 30s and was extremely tall. An evil grin was plastered on his face. My mouth opened with horror as I saw him aiming his rifle at me. He loaded it but before he could shoot me, I kicked him hard on the head with the baseball bat.

He fell to the ground. I ran out of he house, as fast as I could. My breath was getting heavier with every moment that passed. I could feel adrenaline rushing through my bloodstream. Behind me, I could hear the thudding footsteps of that man. I was shocked for a moment because I remember I had knocked him to the ground; but then I was brought back to reality when I heard a gunshot behind me. My heart was pounding against my ribs as tears flowed down from my eyes.  I was beyond terrified..
