The feeling of sweat dripping down your forehead as they mix with tears. The air humid, as you cry yourself dry, out of breath as a light warm wind blows against you as you run up a hill. You stop and catch your breath, the sound of cicadas in the background are so loud, as if they were singing a happy song. But how could they when all you could feel was hollow emptyness of your heart. How dare the skies be so clear!
Tears roll down your face as you scream a strangled cry. Cursing the sun, wondering if this was not just another hell. You wonder why everyone could live on when you were still stuck in the moment. Remembering the way he smiled at you as he held your hand. Remembering the calloused fingers brushing against your cheek. How warm he was.
He was so, so warm. Yet now that warmth has left him. His eyes no longer gazed at you, instead they looked beyond you. He was gone. He was cold. So, so cold, you wish the sun could've warmed him up then.
However, it didn't, yet it was now. Just to mock you.
You look beyond the bustling city lights as you realize something.
You hate humid days.
