(Alex POV)

It was finally Friday. I had made it to the end of the first week without Nicky. Texting wasn’t quite the same but I had told her about the hot blond that caught my eye on the first day and she has been bugging me about her ever since.

The day went pretty slow, and mum wasn’t going to be home till late so I decided to chill and read after school.

A different scenery is nice.

I haven’t made many friends, so that’s a little hard, but I was used to being alone and within the first week I had found a quiet tree by the track field where I sit to read and eat by myself. I have maths with a girl named Lolly and she’s nice but a little strange sometimes, so I decided being alone at break was better.

I’ve seen the enchanting blond around a bit. We have English, ancient history, art and literature together. Her name is Piper, Piper Chapman. God I could dream about her all day. I’m head over heels for this girl and I haven’t even talked to her yet.

She’s on the track team which means she has training after school.

I guess it’s kind of the main reason I sit by the field, I chuckled to myself.

As I had hoped she walked out onto the field. It’s pretty big, there’s a running track around the outside were Piper was and other equipment like high jump mats and a discus ring in the middle. Piper lined up in one of the lanes, pulled her foot to her butt a few times to stretch out and warm up then she jumped a few times and got down into her starting position on all fours.

Piper on all fours, man I wish she was doing that for me.

I got pulled from my trance when the starting gun shot with a loud crack in the air. There she was, tank top, runners and booty shorts running laps around the track in front of me. God those shorts are risky, her ass is so perfect, and they just hold it so well.

She was so perfect.

(Piper’s POV)

I’ve always loved running, it clears my head, I just get to forget about everything and breath for a minute. If things every get bad with my parents or I just don’t want to think about something, I run.

I run till I almost collapse, and my lungs feel like they will burst.

I was at training, so I could do that today.

I should forget, her.

I sighed at the thought of the raven-haired girl. She has been on my mind all week.

But I’m not gay, am I?

I’ve never liked a girl before. I’ll run it off. Run off the feelings I think I might maybe have for her. I can do that.

“You’ve got this Piper”

I boosted myself up as I jumped a few times to prepare myself. I got down on all fours and stared straight down the track.

“I can do this” I let out a deep breath.

‘Bang’ the gun went off and I pushed away from the blocks sprinting down the track.

Forget, forget, forget!

Come on Pipes, just put one foot in front of the other and run. I screamed to myself. It wasn’t working.

Nothing.

I’ll just think about, nothing. I looked up, and let out a sharp breath I didn’t know I was holding in. Then pushed myself harder and ran faster.

I kept running, pushing through the pain that was increasing in my legs as they became tired.

One more I told myself, I can make it that far.

I finished my last lap crossing the line and falling to my knees with a thud. I rolled onto my back and covered my eyes with one hand, resting the other on my chest feeling it rise and fall as I sucked in as much oxygen as I could with every breath.

“Eleven laps! That’s a new record Chapman, something on your mind kid?”

Coach asked, knowing my routine when somethings wrong.

“Is everything alright at home? You haven’t got more bruises, have you?”

He was now concerned, and scanned my wrists and arms for any new marks made by my dad.

But there weren’t any, not this time.

“No I’m alright, thanks coach. I was just trying to forget about some stuff. It sorta worked.”

He didn’t look convinced but I knew why because I was finding it hard to believe myself.

“Just take it easy kid, you know where my office is if you need a break.”

He gave a calm smile and I returned one as he turned to go.

Sitting up I rested my elbows on my knees and wiped the sweat of my face with my shirt.

I gazed up the hill at the old oak that sat by the track.

It’s my spot for when I just need a minute to block everything out. My eyes fell from the bright green leaves down the trunk to the bottom where I like to sit. Although it wasn’t empty awaiting my arrival, there was someone there.

Fuck.

The one thing I just spent half an hour trying to forget was sitting right in front of me.

She was looking at me and I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.

This girl was going to be in my life whether I liked it or not, we are in the same classes and I have to make it through the year so I’m not gonna be able to avoid her enchanting looks.

Well I better make a good second impression, I guess.

I told myself, scoffing at the memory from when I first laid eyes on her at the beginning of the week. You know what.

Fuck it.

Here goes nothing.

Okay sorry I didn't update for a couple of days. If anyone is actually reading this but I got a bit busy with work. I'm on break from school so I should be right to put more up.

I'm still trying to work this out so hang tight. Thanks x
