"The confession" (part 2, filler chapter)

He kept my secret for a long time, and I love him even more for that. I never told him to stay quiet about it, but thank god he did. I’m still not out to my other friends, and to be honest, I probably won’t unless I end up with a boyfriend. That’s reasonable, right?

   Anyway, we’re together recording another video, but this time it’s just a regular qna. We were in the middle of a question. “Where do you guys live? Oh, we live in Arizona, right Person A?” I say, then look to my left at him expectantly.

   “Yup. The hottest state in America. Right now the sun is going down so it's actually a bit cooler than usual though.” When he said this, I looked over to the window in front of us, and, as he said, the sun was going down, making the sky a beautiful mix of colors. Instead of saying anything about it, I only stared out at the light, getting lost in thought. Person A must have noticed, or was just doing the same as me, because he also stared out at the sun.

   It was silent for a comfortable amount of time, until I saw out of the corner of my eye that Person A turned to look at me. I didn’t look at him at first, but he never looked away, so I figured he might want to ask me something. I turned my head, and we locked eyes.
 
   His eyes were a nice brown color, and the way the light reflected in them was perfect, especially from where we were sitting. I started blushing a little, but to distract myself from that, I raised an eyebrow and said, “Yes?”

   He never looked away from my eyes and still had the same emotion on his face. “Uh…” he said nervously. Once he finally snapped out of whatever trance he was in, he looked back at his phone to look through more questions and mumbled a, “Sorry…” before looking back at the camera with a slightly pink face.

   I smiled at him and continued on with the video, but that was a memory I would never forget.
