Chapter 6

His hand is so big and warm.

This was the only thought running in Gulf's head right now.

"Please have a seat Engr. What can I do for you?Is there something wrong with our plates?"

"No architect. The plates are fine. I just need to clarify some things."

Engr Mew looked sharp and dashing like the first time Gulf saw him. With his powerful sandalwood scent and the sparkling expensive watch that is really hard to miss.

The two department heads talked for a while when suddenly, Sir Leo's eye met Gulf and he smiled.

"Well that is my opinion on the matter Engr. "

" I see. I am actually thinking of the possibility of it. We can even consider substituting some of the materials we listed" Mew said with a slight frown.

" Oh I see. Is it the ones  that have to be ordered abroad? If this plan works,we can minimize the actual project cost. "

" Yes. That is why I had to ask your opinion. But looks like its not possible. "

" Hmmm..yes sadly its not. " then he noticed Gulf frowning like he is deep in thought. He smiled at the boy.

" Gulf? Do you have any ideas you might wanna share? "

Gulf jumped when the attention was shifted to him. He glanced at Mew who was staring at him.

"U-uhm I am not sure if my ideas are accurate enough sir. But based on the structural design  I think you can still go with your plan. If you can narrow down the specific properties of the metal itself not the frames per se, then you may just buy them from a local supplier. "

"Hmm. That could work. If we find the right specs  we can even make a more firm frame than those we buy overseas. Gulf where did you get that idea?" Leo pondered

"Oh uhm. From the proposals you asked me to work on sir. Some of the architects noted the same problems and they resorted to breaking down material specs. I also do this tactic in our project exhibit in uni."

"Hm. So it is possible" Mew said

"Well, I have some old proposals that you can refer to."

" Thanks Architect. But as you know, I am quite busy these days. But I'll see if I can find time to read more on this." he said seriously

"Oh. No need to. Actually, Gulf here is currently studying  and summarizing those proposals. You can ask him anytime. Right Gulf?"

Gulf quickly nodded and spoke softly

"Ah. Yes sir. I can do that. I can make  a report if you want."

Mew stared at him intently for a few minutes.

"Very well"

Architerct Leo laughed in delight at the interaction. Looks like his intern  can win the trust of the feared head of the  engineering department.
