~ don't judge my choices without understanding my reasons ~
I pace back and forth in my bedroom, the application for the internship in my hands.
I have the packet filled out with all the information it needs, but I just can't bring myself to give it to Mr. Kyler.
The smart thing to do is turn it in and wait for a response, but two things are holding me back.
One is I would be gone a lot, and I am highly aware my mom is home now, but if I took this job, me being 18 already, I can go to court and take my siblings with me when I have enough money to get us an apartment or even a house.
The second reason is completely selfish but I can't help it, I don't want to work for the FBI ever again.
They destroyed me from the inside out.
Took advantage of a kid who needed a job, and even though I know the BAU is a completely different taskforce then the safe streets and gang unit but it doesn't change the fact that they used a 16 year old to do there bidding.
The only thing that got me actually even thinking about the possibility of me even agreeing to work for them is the fact we need the money.
There are more pros then cons in taking the job and I know what the right thing to do is.
I let out a long sigh, finally stopping my pacing and instead, head to the door.
I grab my bike keys from the hook by my door and head down the stairs and out of the house, completely avoiding Mr. Matthews and my mom.
The kids were still staying at Emma's and would be until I get a job.
I'm still working at both the restaurant and the club, but it barely brings in enough money for the house bill and groceries.
I fold up the paper and stick it in my wedged boot before hopp8ng on my back and starting the route to my school.
Once I was parked in the crowed school lot, I call both the kids schools right away, breathing a breath of relief when they both got there safely.
I trudge through the empty school hall ways, my heels clacking as I move closer to my destination.
The seniors were all on a field trip, one that I was still supposed to be gone for.
Throwing open Mr. Kyler's classroom door, catching it before it hits the wall, I walk to his desk, slamming the folded packet from my back pocket on it.
He looks up at me then back at the packet, "Good morning to you too, Tatum." he says sarcastically causing me to roll my eyes.
"Mhm," I mumble, crossing my arms, leaning against the front of his desk.
