You're a chef, Teru.
~·~·~·~
A few days passed and it was the start of the Autumn Elections. You have been informed that your grandmother will be coming to watch, with Yvon, as usual. She got tickets for Hall B, so that's where you'll be. Along with your grandfather of course. And also because Eizan wouldn't be in Hall B.
"So, you ready to go, my empress?" Terunori asked as you stepped out of the car. You asked him to pick you up since your uncle was out and you were not going to take the bus. Why do that when you can ask your boyfriend to come and get you in their car.
"Alright, what's up with you acting like that?" You asked, taking his hand and entering the school. He didn't say anything and just kept on walking, talking about random stuff, still not willing to answer your question.
But it was soon answered when you two were met with your dear ol grandparents waiting right outside the hall.
'Ah... because grandpa was here....' You thought, already knowing how much Teru is afraid of him. But he really wasn't scary. He just looks intimidating. He was like those anime grandpa's that look weak but is actually a bad- yeah, not a great comparison.
"AH!! Terunori boy!! You look all grown up!!" Cécil cheered as he took the poor boy into a tight hug. It's only been a week or so since they last met. "And look!! You and mon ange are now together!! I was right! Take that, Tanaka!"
"Yes, how nice..." Masafumi grumbled, stroking his mustache and squinting his unseen eyes at Teru. He moved over to you, holding you close to him and crying. "Oh, my dear granddaughter... you're all grown up now, I can't braid your hair anymore, I can't buy you pretty little dresses, get you new shoes, I can't even-"
"Ugh. Grandpa your beard is itchy." You complained, getting away from your grandpa. He cried and went to Cécil for a hug. Honestly, this dynamic looks familiar. "Anyway, mamie, I don't see uncle anywhere..."
"Kya You called me mamie!" Cécil cheered, using her own husband as her fangirl pillow and nearly crushing the poor man. "Anyway, you'll see your uncle soon enough. Shall we head inside?"

As you all entered the Hall, it was filled with cheers and chants as they all took their seats. You all went to you the V.I.P box, as where you should be, and took your seats, Teru sitting next to you while your grandpa and mammie were sitting together.
"So, who's your bet?" He asked, crossing his legs and leaning on his set.
"Well... in group B... my biggest choice would be..." You hummed, looking over the group down below and watched them prepare their stuff. "Nakiri Alice, who else... and, she also looks cute, I like her~"
"Hey... Hey! HEY! H E Y !" Teru exclaimed, shaking you. "What do you mean you like her?! What about me!?" He cried, clinging to your arm. "(Y/N)!!"
You chuckled, patting his head as you leaned on your hand and gave him a smile. "Don't worry, I still like you..."
"Ahem." Your grandpa interfered. Teru immediately went back to his position, sweating bullets as he avoided his gaze.
"Well, anyway." You began, looking around the room. "I thought uncle was gonna be here?" You asked, glancing over your grandparents. Cécil giggled and then pointed below. You followed her gaze and immediately groaned. "He's going to judge!? HIM!? YVON!? A JUDGE!?"
"Ahahaha, Yvon wanted to surprise you!" Your grandma cheered as she tried to get you to calm down. But you still salty. She sighed, "Terunori boy, calm down mon ange please."
"Sure-"
"Not." Masafumi cut him off.
"Not." Teru nodded in fear and scurried off beside you. "Ah... (Y/N)... your grandpa's scary..."
"Oh stop being a little wuss, he's just jealous." You said, resting your head on his shoulder. Teru furrowed his brows, not really seeing when your grandpa got jealous. "Oh you stupid bean," You sighed, lightly flicking his forehead. "Anyway, who's your pick to win? For the top eight, not winner-winner."
"Hm... well, you already said the one who¡d have the highest chase to win..." He trailed off, looking over the group again. "But I do like Miyoko-chin! I've been trying to recruit her, actually. But the secretary also has a high chance of winning, so I'm voting for her."
"Hm... miss secretary really does have a high winning chance..." You said as you stare at the secretary, preparing her spices. If you remembered correctly, their theme was curry. How utterly normal for your topic. Mediterranean cuisine. That was it. 'Mediterranean cuisine, it's nearly as big as it's fucking continent. They couldn't have filtered it down to, idk; French, Spanish, Italian, Egyptian, Greek, otHER COUNTRIES IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA.'
Yeah, you hated last year's first theme.
"Ugh, they sure have it easy this year." You said, playing with Teru's hands. By playing I mean pinching him and making him complain and telling you to stop. You smirked, thinking of teasing him for a while.
"HEy... what's with the smirk?" He asked suspiciously. But you just ignored him. You raised his hand and placed a kiss on it. His breathing hitched and his heart pounded. "W-what are you doing?!"
"Sorry, Teru~" You said with a sad sigh, making yourself look cute and pitiful. And it fucking worked. Such a puppy your boyfriend was. Teru had a blush on his cheeks as he shut his mouth and focused back on the students. Even his ears were red. 'Ahh... cute~'
"Grr... that boy-" Masafumi growled as he watched you and Teru being all cuddly, but Cécil managed to calm him down with the same tactic as you. Like grandma like granddaughter.
"Oh, there's your uncle..." Teru pointed out as he walked to his place, people cheering and chanting his name. "Wow, I didn't know he was popular in school."
"Well of course he is." You said with a sighed, already hating that he was there to eat the food all by himself. Teru asked why. "Well, that's because..."
{Our fourth judge!!} Isshiki announced on the mike as everyone cheered, Teru still confused as to why. {From the 83rd generation, owner of various patisserie around the world, and receiving a high star with the WGO, (L/N) Yvon! A previous first seat!}
"WHAT!?" Terunori exclaimed as he stood up, running to the window in shock. "HE WAS A FIRST SEAT!? A FIRST SEAT!! YOUR UNCLE!?"
"Well yeah." You shrugged, not really caring for your uncle's seat. "And come back here pillow."
Teru made his way back to you in defeat, he kept muttering 'first seat' again and again. You gave him a hug, letting him rest his head on the crook of your neck. His hands were around you quite tight. Looks like he was quite shaken up by that information.
"Do you want me to kick him?" You asked, caressing his hair.
"Please don't-" He answered nervously.
"Then stop sulking, the show's about to start." You pulled off from the hug, holding his face between your hands. "And what's so good about the seat anyway? It's just a bunch of annoying paperwork! It's annoying! Why do you people even want that thing, hmph!"
He chuckled airily, pulling you close and placing a kiss on your cheek.
"You're adorable." He said with a blush, turning back to the stage.
"THAT-" Masafumi was fuming, but Cécil kept him in check. "Can I get a kiss too, amour?"
"Oh, you old, man. Focus on the show." She said in a straight tone.
