"Well look who we have here!" the girl smirked.

"I don't need your help." I popped the hood of the car and walked to it. I just stared at it.

The girl came up behind me,"Are you sure?"

"Like I said I don't need your help. I can do this on my own." I replied to her.

"Well I guess I will just leave..." there was silence for a minute.

"Fine could you please help me!" I turned around and she was standing right in front of me.

"Good!" she looked in the hood,"Well you are going to need some new parts. I could fix it enough so can get it to your house. Then when I can get the parts I can fix the rest."

"I can fix it." she gave me a look,"Fine you can fix it."

"That is a great chose lad!" she laughed.

"Just hurry! I need to get to a party!" she laughed even more,"What is so funny?"

"I told you I could only fix it enough to get you home. So that means you aren't going to any party tonight." great now Andrew is going to say I chickened out and then I don't know."Hey what ever you are worrying about can stop. You are probably better off not going to that party. Anyways I need to go get a small thing for your car, want to come?"

"No I will just stay here." I told her.

"Ok seriously stop acting all tough and bitchy because we both know your not, and it is far from attractive. Your not going to stay here out in the rain." she started walking to her truck.

"You know what fine." I walked to the passengers side and got in. "This will be quick right?"

"Well lets hope so for both of ares sake." she said.

"What is that suppose to mean?"

"Well it is quite obvious that we both have a strong disliking for each other. And especially if you continue wining." she started driving to wherever she was going.

"I do not hate you. How could I hate someone when I know nothing about them. I mean I don't even know your name."

She was quite for a while. She pulled into a parking lot. "Samantha"

"What?"

She looked over at me,"My name is Samantha."

"And my name is-"

"I know your name, it's Liam Payne. I watched you when you were on x-factor." she then got out of the car into the store. I rushed out and followed her.

"Wait, you watched me?"

"Yeah you know on this piece of technology that has been around for a while called a TV." I rolled my eyes. "Of course I watched you. I love X-Factor. And you aren't that bad. I was kinda pissed when Simon said no to you. Aha! I can't believe I'm telling you this."

I though about her for a second,"Hey are you American?"

"Oh no what gave it away? It wouldn't have been the way I talk or anything! Nooo!" her sarcasm over flowed.

"Hahaha. Let's just look for this part."

Samantha found what she needed. After she paid we went back out to the truck. She drove back out to my car. Once we got out of the truck the rain turned to snow. "Well lets hurry and get this done." I popped the hood again.

"So how do you know so much about cars?" I asked her.

She smiled a bit,"My dad taught me. He would always work on them when I was younger. I was so amazed by it all. It kinda keeps him with me."

"Did stay in america or something?" I asked her.

"No... He died six years ago." she looked down.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't-"

"It's fine," she closed the hood of the car,"Well I'm done for now. You can get home now." she started walking back to her truck.

"Hey, umm do you want to come over? I kinda owe you for your help." I asked.

She turned around,"Umm sure I guess."

"Liam don't ever go like that again! I was scared half to death!" my mum said as she opened the door. She then saw Samantha.

"Mum this is Samantha." I smiled a bit.

She stared at Samantha then smiled,"Oh both of you come in you must be freezing!" she let us in, then closed the door behind us. "I made dinner if you are hungry Samantha."

"Oh I'm fine. I not that hungry. Thank you anyways." Samantha smiled.

"Honey I insist."

"Come on Samantha, no one is a better cook then me dear mum." I laughed.

"Well then I will just have to taste it myself!" we all walked over to the table.

"So how was the study group Liam?" my mum asked.

"Umm I didn't go the car broke down." Samantha looked at me and raised one eyebrow.

"The car broke down, but how-"

"I found he while driving down the road. I fixed it enough to get him here. I will be fixing it some more once I find the parts for it." Samantha looked back at my mum.

I started taking a drink out of my water."Aww Liam I think you found yourself a keeper!" she smiled. I started to choke on the water in my mouth. Samantha laughed.

"Mum no. No one would even classify us as friends."

"What? That's such a shame." my mum said.

"Goodnight mum." I said as she walked into her room.

"She is really sweet and you were right, she is a good cook." Samantha smiled.

"Yeah she is pretty great. And thanks for not saying anything about the party."

"I should have." she said as she sat down on the couch.

I sat down next to her,"So if you don't mind me asking, how did your dad die?"

"He had cancer. I was in school when he died. It killed me for so long that I didn't get to say goodbye. But then I would always remember these two quote that he always told me 'Remember me and smile, for it's better to forget than to remember me and cry.' and 'Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting.' I always felt he was with me once I remembered them."

"You are stronger then I thought."

"Yeah and I could beat you up in a second!" we both laughed."Well I have to go. I will be over when the parts come. See you around."

I wanted to tell her more but I just couldn't Andrew and our group wouldn't agree with her hanging around us. So we just walked her to the door and watched he leave.

I walked to my bed and laid on my bed. This was going by so fast. I ran into her this mourning and she called me a jerk. She came up to the group and then called me a asshole. I guess I was a jerk and I was an asshole. I just told myself that she was weird. But now, the same day, I knew about her. She told me about her dad, even after I treated her so badly. She knew it really wasn't me.

I finally went to sleep after thinking about Samantha for two hours. If I only knew how much she would be in my life, and make so much of an effect.
