Luke's POV:
Y/N is very intriguing. She's quiet, happy, yet it seems like she's got a whole bunch of secrets. You can see it in her eyes that she's got a rebellious side. I hope i didn't scare her away in saying i was going to clean up my place, because we all know where that leads. In all honesty, i'm not after sex. I just want a quiet place to get to know who she really is. I want to know those secrets. When i entered my flat, i kicked a few boxes out of the way, and picked up the dirty clothes scattered through the halls. I'm not exactly the neatest person around, but she doesn't need to know that. I got my dusting cloth and headed to the living room, which was by far the worst in the house. I pushed aside a few pizza boxes, and a whole empty case of beer bottles. I started to dust the end table, and came across a picture of Ainsley. She's my girlfriend, well she used to be.
Two years ago, Lydian and I were on a date around Christmas time, It was December 12th. I took her to a nice dinner, and we went ice skating, and walked around town for a few hours. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that night was the best night of my life... Until we were on our way home...
We were about five minutes away from her house, and we were turning onto 58th street when a large SUV came barreling towards us at about 60 MPH on a street that was marked 35. The SUV hit Ainsley's door, and she passed away upon impact. The driver of the SUV died in the hospital about three days of being in the ICU. I'm not glad he lost his life, but he deserved it. I spent almost three weeks in the hospital recovering, and my left knee won't ever completely heal.
The mail being dropped through the mail slot shook me from the memories, and only then did i realize that i had been crying. I set the picture back where it was, and got the mail. Only Christmas cards from people who only feel obligated to send them to me. I've got no family left, only old family friends. I'm hoping Y/N can change that.
