Centaurs

Hello! This is a new chapter I have for you today, tomorrow, the day after, or whenever you end up reading this. Before you start reading, I want to say thank you if you went into the links about the Blue Whale challenge and the Pink Whale challenge, and also if you're reading the new Pink Whale book that I started. Heres the chapter!

Y/N POV

I looked around the graveyard and saw a weird bald man point his wand at someone and shout a curse. The person dropped dead to the floor and I ran up to them trying to help them. Their face was a blur, so I didn't know who they were. Suddenly, the man pointed his wand at me and a green light shot at me.

I woke up shaking and turned to see Hermione staring at me worriedly. She ran over and got me a bottle of water. I shakily drank the liquid and put it aside.

"Y/N, are you ok?" She asked, once I calmed down.

"So far, so good." I muttered, shaking my head and getting up. She narrowed her eyes at me but brushed it off and continued to get ready.

"What do you think Harry's going to do about the egg?" Hermione asked, while I slipped my shirt on.

"Knowing him, he probably doesn't know how to solve it yet, and he'll put it off until the very last second. Mostly because he'll forget that he has a limited amount of time." I answered.

"And are you sure I cant tell him if he asks?"

"You cant. You have to act like you know nothing about it." She sighed and pulled her bag over her shoulder.

"I'll be in the library if you need me!" She called, skipping out of the room. I smiled to myself and continued to get ready. Once I was finished, I ran out of the dorm and through the portrait as fast as possible. I needed to find the twins. Luckily, they were in a hallway not to far away from the tower.

"Hey dumb and dumber! Are you guys busy?" I asked, walking up to them.

"Unless you count planning pranks-"

"Then I don't think so!" They said, making me smile.

"Well, go prank Draco for me, ok? Maybe make his hair red and gold, or something." With that, I walked away. Today just felt right, like everything was going to be great. I skipped into the Great Hall and immediately ran into Luna.

"Hey Luna! Whats up?"

"Well, nothing yet. Today seems like a good day. Nargles aren't anywhere in sight.." She trailed off.

"Thats amazing! A day without Nargles is always a good one." She smiled and nodded. I returned her smile and took a seat at the Gryffindor table, next to Ron.

"Hey Ron, Harry. What's that?" I ask, pointing to a letter in Harry's hand.

"It's a letter from Sirius." He said.

"Can you write to him and tell him that I want to meet? We've never met before." He nodded. I grabbed a piece of toast and stood up.

"I'll see you guys in potions!" I called, and chuckled when I heard Ron say 'Bloody potions..'.

I skipped down to the dungeons and into the potions room.

"Hello Professor! What are we doing today?"

"Just going to grade some potions." I nodded and took out a piece of parchment and a quill. I began to doodle little drawings over it, like snitches or smiley faces. Finally, people started to walk into the room and sit at their tables. The lesson went on as it normally did, and I headed to Care of Magical Creatures.

"Hello Hagrid! What are we doing today?" I asked.

"Why, 'ello Y/N! Today we're goin' ter go out into the forest an' bring back some of the things I assign to ye." He said, cheerfully. I smiled and nodded, going to a place on the grass where I could sit. After a few minutes, the rest of the class showed up.

"'Ello, everyone! Today yer goin' out to the forest with the people I pair ye with to bring back some things." He explained, and the class groaned. Things never ended well when teachers assigned groups, even in muggle school.

"Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Yer all a group. Go bring back some oak and thorn." After they received this information, they went off into the forest.

"Neville, Goyle, and Dean, bring back a bowtruckle." They nodded and headed into the forest. After some names, he finally called mine.

"Y/N, Draco, Pansy. Bring back the most difficult, a centaur." With that, we left into the woods, Draco and Pansy still shocked about what we had to find.

"A centaur? How are we supposed to bring a centaur?!" Pansy complained.

"Can you quiet down, Pansy? It's possible to bring a centaur." I said, calmly. She gasped and pushed me, making me fall and get mud on me. She started laughing, with Draco standing next to her, while I got up.

"Jokes on you, Pansy. Mud makes your skin smooth." I said, brushing it off. She scoffed and turned her head.

"So how are we going to find a centaur?" Draco asked.

"Just get behind me and don't speak."

"What?! I'm not going to listen to you!" Pansy yelled. Suddenly, there was a rustling in the bushes and many centaurs leaped out at us. While Pansy and Draco panicked, I bowed to the creatures. They picked the two panicking teens up and held them by their collars. They then looked towards me.

"Please, Firenze, mighty centaurs, excuse my peers. They know not of your greatness and excellence, and gift in useful subjects." I said, still bowing.

"Human spawn, rise." I straitened and looked at Firenze.

"What is your business, being in the centaurs territory?" He asked.

"We were sent on a task to find a creature told to us, and to bring it back to our class for proof. We got blessed with finding one of the centaur population, but sadly, my peers don't know how honorable it is to be in front of you. I request that we are able to bring one of you back to my lesson, and after that, you are able to come back to your territory." I said, professionally. Firenze nodded and stepped forward.

"I shall take this journey with the human spawns." He said, and stepped forward.

"It is an honor, Firenze." I said, and he nodded. The centaurs let Draco and Pansy free and we all walked away. We were the last ones to get back and everyone was looking at us in awe, or more like they were looking at me and Firenze in awe, because the other two just coward on in the back.

"Ah, Firenze! What are ye doin' here? Did Y/N bring you?

"Yes, Hagrid. She was the only.. respectful one. If it weren't for her, the two human spawns would be served to our children for dinner. I was told that I was included in some.. task, of sorts?" Hagrid nodded his head.

"It was ter show the class what different things are in the forest. I sent Y/N to get ye because I knew she would be respectful." Firenze nodded and Hagrid turned to the others.

"Firenze, here, is a centaur." Hagrid started. He continued to explain all the amazing things about centaurs and soon enough, class was over.

"Thank you, Firenze, for coming with me for this task." He smiled at me and ran off.

I went back to the common room and got flooded with questions about the centaurs and what happened when we met them. I waved them away and said to ask me tomorrow, and went up to my dorm. I flung myself on my bed and immediately fell asleep, dreaming about centaurs and.. people trapped underwater?

Hello! I finally updated a chapter! I keep starting it but I end up getting distracted and switching my attention to something else. Whoops😬.
