So I just want to say, sorry if it feels like time is moving super slow in this book. Like, where's the next task? Whens that going to happen? Well, I don't really want to go exactly like the books, as you can tell by all the nonsense in my chapters, so I'm just making space between the tasks. If you have an idea for what I should put in the chapters, let me know! Here's the chapter.
Y/N POV
I woke up late in the afternoon. I sat up in my bed and saw Hermione reading a book on her bed. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Good afternoon, Y/N." She said.
"Same to you, 'Mione." I said, stretching. I stood up from my bed, thinking of what to do, when suddenly, I had an idea. I quickly got ready and turned to Hermione.
"I'll be back, 'Mione. Im just going to do something." I said, before running down to the common room and out of the portrait. I ran down the halls looking for a certain professor.Finally, I spotted her.
"Professor McGonagall! Good afternoon." I greeted.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Potter. What is it you need?" She asked.
"I want to become an animagus." I said, quietly, with hopeful eyes. She nodded and brought me to her classroom.
"Why is it that you wish to become an animagus?" She asked, sitting at her desk.
"Well, part of it is for learning purposes, but another part is that it seems cool. Depending on my animagus, I could get myself out of danger if needed." I reasoned.
"Are you sure? It's quite difficult to make it through." I nodded and she sighed. She stood and went over to some jars, bringing back a leaf and sitting back down.
" You are to keep this mandrake leaf in your mouth for a full month. Every sunrise and sundown, you have to speak the incantation, 'Amato Animo Animato Animagus'. Once the month is complete, come to my classroom so I can supervise you when you transform." She explained, and I nodded. This was going to be harder than I thought.
"I understand." I said. She handed me the leaf and I put it under my tongue.
"And Ms. Potter, don't tell anyone of this." She said. I nodded.
"Thank you, professor!" I called, running out of the classroom and back to my dorm. I put on a white tee shirt and some shorts. Once I finished, I ran outside to the black lake.
"Hello, Harold." I said to the giant squid. (Im not sure if I gave it a name in the previous book or chapters so if I did, heres a new name, and if I didn't, well, heres a name.)
I sat by the lake and talked to Harold for a while. Suddenly, a group of girls from older years came walking to me.
"Hey, you!" A girl with blonde hair called.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Stay away from Cedric! He's been eyeing you these past days and I know you two are doing something!" I cringed.
"Ew, no. You can have him. He's disgusting." I said, simply.
"Cedric? Disgusting? How dare you!" A girl with brown hair yelled. They drew out their wands and pointed them at me. Without thinking I dived into the water to avoid being hit with their spells and hexes. When I went back to the surface, one of their spells hit me and cut my arm open.
Suddenly, Harold started shooting ink at the girls. I watched on and laughed at them, forgetting about the pain in my arm.
"T-thanks, Harold! That w-was hilarious!" I said between giggles. Once I calmed down, I remembered the cut in my arm and sighed.
"Well, bye Harold. I have to go to the castle now. I don't want to go to the Hospital Wing right now so I'll just go to my dorm." I told the squid. I then left, headed towards the castle. I looked down and glared at my shirt.
"Of course it had to be a white shirt. How am I going to get rid of this stain?" I mumbled, seeing blood seeping into the clothing. I went up to my dorm and took I shower. While I washed my hair, I thought about becoming an animagus. I still had to keep this leaf in my mouth for a month and I hadn't even thought about how it was going to be like to eat. I also thought about what my animagus form was going to be like, and which animal it would be.
I got out of the shower and found some bandages to wrap my arm in. Once I finished, I laid down on my bed and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of nothing but darkness.
