Personality
Jayda is very reserved and often tries to keep people out of her business by being sarcastic. She isn't a social person but if you become friends with her she is very trustworthy and kind. She is pretty jumpy and humorously easy to scare, and will laugh along after glaring at you for a few seconds. Jay is one to think of others before herself, which has caused many problems for her before. It's hard for her to get out of her comfort zone, especially if she doesn't see the point in doing so. She'd question everything about the situation before even thinking about go through with it. She is definitely is more of a thinker than one who'd take action first and ask questions later.Likes
She likes to create and get crafty at home. She also loves to paint, read, watch movies, anything that she can do in the comfort of her home. She also loves her pet bearded dragon named Arson. One of her favorite things to do is paint people. She has a whole collection of paintings that include strangers that she had caught a glimpse of in the street.Dislikes
She doesn't like to speak in front of large groups of people and she doesn't like to go out. Jayda also hates being in hospitals, she can't go into one without tearing up. She can't even hear the sound of a beeping monitor without getting very uncomfortable and queasy.Occupation
She works as a gaming manager at a casino, and sells her own jewelry and art.Pets
Jay has a reddish-orange bearded dragon named Arson. He is often perched on her shoulder, chest, or head. Arson is very chill and likes to be out of his terrarium.Family
Mother -- Madison Carr. Not in the picture.
Father -- Andrew Thorne. Passed away long ago.
Aunt & Uncle -- Julianna and Matthew Thorne. Matthew is her father's twin brother. They took Jayda in after her father died. Since they were unable to conceive a child together, they saw Jayda as their opportunity to be able to raise a child together.Backstory
Jayda grew up with her single father. He was very kind, understanding, and annoyed her with the corniest dad jokes ever. He loved to try and be "hip with the kids." They had a great relationship together, they'd always have great conversations over tea every Saturday. Her father liked to call it "tea spilling time," hence the tea. But when her father started to get sicker and sicker, they found out he had cancer. The two would have deeper talks and have silent moments together to just be there before Jayda would start to cry. Once Jay was 16, her father fell asleep and couldn't wake back up. She stayed by his side for two weeks before he finally passed.
Her aunt and uncle were thankfully able to take her under their wing once he did. It was hard at first, since her uncle looked so much like her father. She wouldn't ever look him in the face without crying, but she had gotten better about that. Jay worked as soon as she could because she didn't want to be a burden to her aunt and uncle. She saved up all of her money and was able to rent an apartment after graduating from high school, but still visits them occasionally.
Jayda still goes to visit her father's grave every Saturday to "spill the tea" about her life, and makes sure to take two cups of hot tea with her.
