Chapter 16.2. Semestral Break [Part 2]

"Wow! It's beautiful here" I commented. We've already arrived at the place Dad was talking about. It was indeed a beautiful place.

"Did you like it, princess?" Dad asked me. I nod at his question and continued to look at the view. It felt like paradise for me. I need this, a breath of air.

"Now can we go in? We're still expecting visitors today" my dad said. He said it was someone he never meets for a long time. I don't know who they are but since it's Dad's friend, it's okay for me.

We've fixed are things in our room. Yeah! There's a big house near a beach and I think this is a private land indeed. I changed my clothes so that I can go to the pool for a bit. Yeah! There's still a pool near the beach.

"Hey lil' sis, want to take a dip before visitors arrive?" Lewis asked.

"Sure, be there in a sec" I replied and wear my swimsuit. I pulled on my long thin cardigan and meet Lewis downstairs.

"Are you going to wear that?" he asked. I just gave a nod and begin to walk towards where the pool was but I was dragged once again.

"What?" I asked. I always drag by someone, and my hand hurts

"Go and change. Something that can cover up your skin, lady" he said.

"Fine" I replied and march towards the house. I never got to wear things like this, is it too revealing for them?

"Icy" I heard from my back. I processed the voice from what I heard and recall whose voice it that. As far as I know, only one person calls me Icy, and that's...

I turn around to see who just call me. "Zach!" I uttered the moment I saw him.

"Why are you here?" I asked. I can't believe that his here. Does something happen?

"It's like you don't want me to be here" he replied

"It's not that I don't want you to be here. It's just.. Did something happen?" I questioned. Well, just seeing the possibility that maybe there was a problem which explains that his here, right?

"Nothing happen Icy. Can I get a hug from my baby?" he asked. I open my arms wide open and walked towards him. He gladly respond to the hug which took us minutes.

"Mom and Dad said that we were invited by someone to have a vacation here. I didn't know that it was your family" he said while hugging me. I just nod at his response and hug him also. Even though I just have time with him yesterday. I just miss his presence.

Later, I slowly feel his hands losing from the hug. I look at him with my hands hanging on his shoulder while his hands were wrapped around my waist.

"So may I know why you're wearing that?" He asked. I looked at my outfit and feel embarrassed about what I wear. If I know they were the guest we were expecting I shouldn't have worn this, I should have worn a few conservative clothes

"Uhmm.. Uhmm.. I...."

"I love it," he said. I was stiffened to my place and felt his hands on my bare skin.

"Uhm, Z what are you doing?" I asked that make him wake up from his world.

"Oh sorry" he replied and put his hand on his nape.

I laugh at his actions and kiss him on his cheeks.

"I'll go up and change.."

"No" he suddenly respond. I look at him and it seems he became shy all of a sudden. I laugh at him and nod.

"Okay. Let's go. Lewis may be waiting for me at the pool" I replied and put my hand on his hand and pulled him.

Zach's Point of View

I knew that we were meeting the Lopez this break but I want to surprise Icy about this since I planned something for her.

I scanned the whole house finding someone. "Any problem Z?" she asked.

"Nothing. I'm just wondering why I can't see Sam here. Is she here?" I asked. This isn't the first time she'd joined one of the Lopez vacations but this is the first she isn't here.

"Well, No. Her mother called her to have time with each other with her mothers' new family" she answered.

"Ohh" I don't know about Sam's family since I never got to know her better.

Everyone is at the dining table right now. I'm beside Steicy while Lewis is on her other side. I've put a lot of food for Steicy and I know she'll eat it eventually since she's not that a picky eater unless the food has nuts on it which she's highly allergic with.

"Z, I'm not a pig. You put too much food on my plate already" she exclaimed. I look at her with a grin and add more food to her plate.

"You know sometimes you are annoying" she whispered in my ear which leave a slight tingling in my ear. I laugh at what I said and draw myself onto her. "I know baby but you still love me" I replied which left her blushing. She's so cute. I pinched her cheeks and put food on my plate.

I heard Icy exhale while looking at her plate. I let out a soft chuckle and lessen some of the food on her plate. I looked at her and it looks like her face lighten up a bit.

"Okay okay. We are all aware that both of you work together perfectly but please have a heart for the person who isn't with his loved one" Lewis commented which make everyone laugh. And I can see Icy being shy, she's so damn cute.

"So, Travis how's the business?" My mothers' asked.

"It's going great. How 'bout yours?" Steicy's father asked back

"It's great too" my mom answered then a whole bunch of business talks again.

"I told you it will always be a business talk" I whispered to her. She let out a soft chuckle at what I said, bringing their attention to us. She suddenly sit up straight, keeping her composure steady while I was hiding my smile and laugh.

She elbowed me because he couldn't hide properly her smile then Dad let out a sort of a bossy cough that caught both of our attention.

"Sorry," she apologized then ate one of the meat thrown from my plate. She quietly chews slowly and slowly her food maybe since she'd noticed that all of them were like keeping an eye on us. Seriously, what's their problem?

"It took too long for them to be together, don't you think Maris?" My mom asked.

"You're right. I thought it was a lot sooner" her mom commented. Are they talking about us?

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked. She looked at me and gave me a slight nod. I'm not sure if she's okay but I'm hoping she is because she doesn't seem at ease at some point.

Dinner come to an end and my parents and her, went to the porch to maybe talk about some stuff Lewis was a bit tired so he went to his room to sleep. Well, I and Steicy decided to walk around the seashore to get some fresh air.

I was beside her and I can feel her frustrations. I want to ask but I think she won't give me an immediate answer. I hope she'll be okay with whatever she is thinking right now.

Steicy's Point of View

I feel like there's something I need to know that nobody wants to tell me. It feels like I'm the only one who doesn't know anything. I know for a fact that sometimes, I'm a bit naive but I'm not clueless.

Why do I even think about this stuff? I'm on vacation for pete sake.

I looked at the person beside me who is currently walking by my side. I crossed my arm onto him and hug him tighter as possible as I can. It was nearly sundown so we stop where we can see the sunset. I hope this day would never end and whatever I'm thinking would go away in the meantime.
