The 30 Day Anime Challenge Day 1 - The First Anime I Watched

When I think about my first anime, I get confused. The reason being because I got peered pressured into watching anime believe it or not. After I decided to start watching anime I looked through YouTube and even a few websites trying to figure out which anime I would start with. And I do want to point out that the only reason why I was doing all this research was because I knew that if my very first anime would turn out to be horrible, I'd never want to watch anime ever again, and I didn't want that. So anyway, after a few hours or research I decided to start off with non other than Fairy Tail.

Fairy Tail takes place in the Kingdom of Fiore. Lucy ( one of the main characters ) wants nothing more than to join a Guild ( A guild is a group of wizards who come together as one to take on jobs. These jobs can be the most harmless jobs to ever exist, to being as deadly as can be.) Little did she know that her dream guild would be welcoming her in less than 48 hours. Right before Lucy met Natzu, she ran into a wizard known as Bora. Bora was using Love Magic which made woman fall in love with him at first sight. She fell for the spell the first time she saw him because while approaching him she had no idea he was so self-centered ( this type of magic only works when people are oblivious of its use ). Thrusting forward, she eventually meets Natzu and Happy and treats them to a nice lunch. She tells them about her desires to one day join the Fairy Tail guild. She assumed that while stuffing their faces with food they were also ignoring her, she'll soon find out that, that was not the case at all.

Soon after she gets invited to a party aboard Bora's boat. She wasn't on the best of terms with Bora because of their last encounter, but she decided to go anyway because he had promised to get her into Fairy Tail. After letting Natzu know where she was headed she raced off to the boat. Once aboard she made it very clear to Bora that she knew about the magic that he had used and that she wasn't going to fall for it again, well she did. After Bora was sure the magic had worked, he drugged Lucy and all of the other girls aboard the boat and locked them down in the boats basement ( I have no idea what you call those compartments ). Not long after this incident Natzu and Happy set off to save Lucy. After Lucy was rescued by Happy, she decides to help out because she is a celestial wizard after all. She swims down to the bottom of the ocean to retrieve her keys that Bora had in fact thrown into the water just hours before ( or at least I think that's what happened ). After the fight is over Natzu reveals to Lucy that he is in fact a Fairy Tail wizard.

Natzu takes Lucy to his guild and she gets welcomed by all of the members immediately.

As you can tell, I really loved this anime. It was a great first impression and slowly, anime became a part of my every day life ( especially now in quarantine... ). I think that if you are trying to get into the anime world you should definitely start with Fairy Tail, Demon Slayer, Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon, Blue exorcist, or even Death Note.

And now, after taking so long to write all this I'm realizing that my first anime was actually Pokémon X and Y... Oooops...... Ok, well, I watched it over 6 years before I started actively watching anime, please don't kill me....
