Bakugou's POV

The weather is calm and the sun brings warm breezes warming my face. The grass is a little damp due to the shade and a tree behind me supports my body as it rests on it. I'm waiting for Kirishima. At the end of the class, and at the beginning of the lunch, we decided to go to the same tree where we were staying last time. However, Kirishima had forgotten something in the class and had asked me to go ahead.

So, I'm sitting here under the tree and patiently waiting for that redhead to arrive. Today, there is a particularly large number of students outdoors. May be due to the good weather. It's pretty good when there are more people around. Then, we don't stand out from the crowd and can stop stressing out extra distractions.

"Bakugou, sorry that I took so long!" I raise my head and notice Kirishima running towards me with a box in his arms.

"I forgot this bento in class and went to get it," Kirishima smiles optimistically and sits next to me. He lowers the blue box next to him and cleans up his wrinkled school uniform.

"Wonderful weather, really warm," Kirishima notes with a cheerful smile on his face. He raises his hands behind his head and leans against the trunk of the brown tree. I look at the boy's strong body and pluck the grass with my other hand.

"Mm," I answer calmly and let my gaze wander. Kirishima turns to look around us. Students are sitting everywhere, some are eating and some have decided to start a wrestling match to delight other students.

"It's pretty crowded today," Kirishima laughs in amusement and lowers his hands. The boy takes the blue box in his arms and opens the lid.

Its content looks delicious. Kirishima has packed white rice, meat and some different colored and sized vegetables. He hands me wooden chopsticks and snaps his own apart. I do the same and watch Kirishima carefully place the box between us. From his pocket, he hands out a neatly folded napkin on which to wipe my mouth. I take it and watch the food in ecstasy.

"Dig in," Kirishima says proudly and lets me start. I gently bite my lower lip and take a small pile of rice in my mouth. I chew for a moment and wipe my lips. I feel Kirishima's curious gaze drilling into my mouth. I glance at the boy and raise a small smile to my lips.

Kirishima looks relaxed and lowers his shoulders, which have been elevated due to tension. Kirishima shows his playful smile and takes a piece of meat.

We eat without saying a word and enjoy each other's company. There is still half an hour left, so we have plenty of time.

When the last rice has been eaten, we lower the chopsticks into the box and take more relaxed positions in the shade of the tree. I'm pretty full and it was really, really good.

"Bakugou..." I turn my head towards the voice and I see Kirishima leaning towards me.

What is he doing? Don't say... kiss! I am not ready yet. Hey, don't come any closer!

I sit puzzled expression on my face and watch Kirishima raise his hand.

"There!" Kirishima retreats and licks a piece of rice from his finger.
"You had rice here," Kirishima grins and points his finger at his lips.

Okay, that was so cheesy, even from Kirishima. I can't decide if I'm confused or embarrassed. Maybe a little of both.

I turn my gaze away and wrinkle my nose in an embarrassed blush. He really is a bone head.

Kirishima laughs playfully and examines my reactions.

"Oh yeah," Kirishima says excitedly and I look up. I watch as Kiri takes his phone from his pocket. Its corners are surprisingly worn and scratched. Here's a little tip; do not use your quirk while holding your phone in your hand.

"Do you play Star Warriors?" Kirishima waves his phone in front of my face.

"Hmm, I have that game, but I don't remember the last time I played it," I say thoughtfully. I've had less and less time to play video games when I came to UA.

"Let's play one game," Kirishima suggests enthusiastically and opens the game.

I shrug my shoulders and take my phone from my pocket. It has been a while when I played video games with anyone. This could be a lot of fun.

"Let's race! Who gets more points, wins!" Kirishima grins energetically and takes a firm grip from his phone.

"You're gonna lose," I grin back and focus all my attention on winning the game.

The game is pretty simple: players are born somewhere in space. Their only task is to clear all the aliens and reach the station that is at the end of the map. You get one point from a killed alien. Extra boosts and weapons are hidden around the map. With a better weapon, you get more points. There is no time limit, but both must be at the finish line for the game to end.

(This chapter's picture above the title is related to this game)

The game begins. Based on the appearance of the map, we are on the surface of the moon. From a distance, I notice a large set of aliens attacking us. We both begin to eliminate as many aliens as is physically possible. The creatures explode or ignite into a flame as we clear our way to the station. I notice that Kirishima has been playing this game longer than I have. He seems to know right away what is the most effective way to get points. Kirishima is hard to beat, but I like challenges. I won't let him win easily!

"Hah! I knew it!" I shout when we arrive at the base and check the points. 33-32. I won! I grin at the boy with an intimate smile.

"Pretty awesome Bakugou. It was so close," Kirishima laughs and looks up from the screen.

I knew I would win, so it didn't come as a surprise. I lift my chin into the air with satisfaction and enjoy the post-victory feeling. I hear Kirishima laughing next to me and giving me an applause in the honor of my victory.

I slide my fingers through my messy hair and lean against the hard bark of the wood in relief. Kirishima stares at me relentlessly and shows no signs of stopping.

There are still 10 minutes left to eat. Do I have time to fall asleep? I'm so tired.

Exhausted, I close my heavy eyelids. I feel like I'm slowly losing my balance and my head lands to something warm. Did I accidentally fall on Kirishima's shoulder? I can't move, and he won't move me. It's warm.

The last thing I remember is a soft squeeze on my hand and the weight of Kirishima's head against mine. I feel peaceful and safe with this boy.

After a while, I hear whispering from the table next to us. They're probably girls. Probably judging or something. Take care of your problems, you little magpies.

I hear more whispering and a little laughter as people pass by. This is probably the first time when I have thrown my pride, and let other's opinions go in one ear and out the other.

I switch to a better position and fall asleep against the redhead's shoulder.
