Well I added a song link for this chapter at the start because I have been listening to it when I was writing this chapter and it would be fun if you'd listen to it while reading it as it just creates a whole vibe for it.

Rehana's POV (Azlaan's Mom)

I picked up the ringing phone.

"Assalam O Alaikum! Rehana how are you? It's me Fatima"

"Waalaikum Assalam! Fatima I am fine how are you?"

"I am fine too. I hope I didn't disturb you at this time."

"No, not at all. I was just thinking about calling you."

"Oh, I was just wondering if you, Murtaza Bhai (brother) and the kids can join us at dinner on Friday at our house?"

"Oh, that's wonderful. We can catch up on old times, and I was really anxious to meet Shanzay and Moosa. We will surely come."

"That's great. I will be waiting for you on Friday at 7. Give love to kids for me."

"Ok, then see you on Friday, Allah Hafiz."

"Allah hafiz, Rehana".

I put the phone down and went to the dining table.

"Who was it, Ammi (Mother)?" Saadi asked while eating.

"Beta (child), you may not remember them as you were too young at that time it was an old friend. She invited us for dinner on Friday." I told him while sitting on the dining chair.

"Oh, that's great, Ammi (mother)."

"Yeah...now finish your lunch."

I can't wait to tell Murtaza that he would be thrilled...Oh, and Azlaan, he must have remembered Ibaad Bhai. He used to be very close to him. I made a mental note to myself.

Fatima's POV (Shanzay's Mother)

After ending the call, I was in my own thoughts when the bell rang.

That's strange. Who would have come at this time?

"Assalam O Alaikum Aunty how are you?" I heard a male voice say.

"Waalaikum Beta (child), I am fine. How are you?" I replied while looking up at him in surprise.

"I am fine too, Aunty."

"Come, let's sit in the lounge," I said while leading him to the lounge.

Shanzay's POV

I was standing in front of the last person I wanted to see right now.

"Assalam O Alaikum!" I said while glancing at him.

"Waalaikum Assalam! Aj to barey logo ne humein milne ka sharf bakhsha hai." A deep hoarse voice replied.

(Oh, look who is here to greet me)

In between, I saw Ammi stood up and went to the kitchen while eyeing me to behave, and I stared at her in complete utter disbelief.

I felt his burning gaze upon me, which made me uncomfortable and sick to my stomach. I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, but I had to wait until Ammi comes in, so I decided to break the silence.
