Asami gaped in shock. When Fujioka unlocked the door she didn't expect rose petals to float around her, let alone have a petal fly right into her open mouth. While she was choking in the velvet-like petal, Fujioka looked like their soul was abandoning their body.
"Oh, it's a guy." She glanced at the sparkling teens, then at her newest friend. Asami realizing they didn't acknowledge her, began to rattle the doorknob. While they were talking about how Fujioka was gay and Fujioka disagreeing, Asami was trying to open the dang door. No matter what she did, the door would not open. She tried pulling, she tired pushing, nothing.
A load crash broke her train of thought. Startled, she swiftly turned towards the boisterous noise.
In all their glory, Fujioka, one her knees, was panicking about 800 million yen. Asami gazed at the group of shiny males. Mixed reactions were shown on their faces, Asami, however, knew this situation was not a good one.
Asami rushed towards he shattered pottery. She picked some of the pieces carefully, not wanting to cut her hands. Asami ended up making a pile with the pieces, she had no idea what to do with the shards.
Asami gazed at Fujioka and the hosts. Still no one other then her friend noticed she was here. Which was good for her. She got up and headed towards the door. She clasped the handle and took a deep breath.
The door opened.
The door opened!
She waved towards Fujioka, they noticed her. Asami pointed towards the open door in a repeating manner. Fujioka gave her a shaky smile, then pointed discreetly at the eccentric hosts. Asami pointed to herself then at the opening. Fujioka sighed and nodded, letting Asami leave.
Tears swelled in Asami's, she mouthed a thank you and headed out. Fujioka stared at the door then back at the obnoxious blond host. They want to leave too.
---
Asami felt a little guilty for leaving her only companion behind but life is filled with sacrifices.
She decided to head home.
After all, she needed work on an art piece to submit. Then began to think of the conversation she had with the principal of the school.
---
"Maede-san, you won't have any problems with me speaking to your child privately?" Asami's let out an 'oh', smiled and trotted out of the room.
Asami's heart felt like it was going to explode.
Souh-san had a soft smile on his face, it was a polite smile. A smile used for business. Seeing this Asami straightened her back, her uneasiness reached an all-new level. The tension in the room became colder, it was almost suffocating.
The two peered at each other. Their eyes never moving, solely focused on the other. While the man's lips curved into a neat smile, the teen remand neutral. It was a battle of wills.
His elegant smile turned into an amused grin. His eyes appeared fox-like. A soft simper left his chapped lips.
Asami just stared, slowly calming her nerves. She evaluated the man, not wanting to be tricked by those shifty orbs. She kept her ground not wanting to appear weak.
"You truly are one of a kind Maede-chan." A few chuckles fled his throat.
Asami didn't dispute the different honorific. She would let the powerful man call her that."You want to know why I allowed two commoner students to attend my school?" The man lost his elegance. His gaze was one of a predator.
Asami thought about it. Then it made sense. Her eyes widened at her new discovery. This caused Souh-san to grin even harder.
"You want to help your image," Asami responded, she waited for what the oppressing man would say.
"Of course, when people would see that I let two commoners of all people in my school, what do you think the public would think about me?" Asami's brows furrowed, a shaken smile wiggled onto her face.
"They would think that you're a kind benevolent person, " Asami replied. She stared deeper into the man's eyes then proceeded.
"The amounts of clients that will come to you will increase." She paused. Then rose a brow, a coy smile grave her face. Newfound confidence appeared.
"How are you so sure that the richer people will agree with you?" She questioned. Asami knew that the richer people would have to support him or else they would seem discriminatory. She just asked to see what Souh-san would say. Asami knew she had gotten his attention, might as well entertain him more.
"I think you know the answer to that question." Silence coated the room. The tension became slightly harsher. If it was suffocating before, now it was like there was no oxygen to breathe. The two humans in the room, however, seemed like they were thriving in that condition.
From the outside, it seemed normal. A student and principal just conversing together. The look in their eyes changed that image. A dark glint shined in both their orbs.
The silence broke.
"Why would you tell me this?" Asami asked. Truly perplexed at his actions. The man sighed and leaned back in his chair. His eyes shut.
"I have a student who is academically ingenious. Then I have an 'artist'." He paused, his eyes opened, the dark gleam twinkled. Asami's glare harshened.
"One of them isn't that impressive." Asami's fist clenched. She scowled at the man.
"Don't get me wrong, your art is remarkable but, " he stated directly into her eyes.
"Is it enough?"
---
And with that, she was told to submit an artwork every month. Some months she would get a prompt and another month she wouldn't. This didn't have a prompt.
Asami sighed.
She held some level of respect for the man. His intimidation was good. Asami couldn't fully respect though because he had blatantly disrespected her art.
She saw a familiar scrawny teen. It was Fujioka. Asami waved her hand in enthusiasm.
"Fujioka, how did you handle the hosts?" The only reason she knew those weird students were host was because of the gossip that surrounded them.
"Don't get me started on them," Fujioka mumbled dejectedly. Asami let out a soft laugh and patted them on the back.
Asami forced herself to stop pondering about the principal.
She would have time later.
