I woke up to the sound of my dreadful alarm meaning it's time to get up and get ready to pick up the student. I went to my bathroom and turned on the shower and let it heat up, about after 2 minutes I jumped in and got done with my business. I got out into the now steam filled bathroom and wrapped a fresh clean towel around my waste. I started to brush my teeth and then went into my room to pick out some clothes, after picking out my clothes I went back into the bathroom, got dressed, and worked on my hair.
I checked the time on my phone it now saying "9:57" and we have to pick up the student at the airport at 4 :30. I went downstairs to make some breakfast for myself and just hang out before it was time to go. As I made my way into the kitchen I saw my mom sat at the island on her phone drinking her coffee. (CM=Cole's mom,CD=Cole's dad)
C: "morning mom"
CM: "morning honey,you excited for today?"
C: "yeah,kinda nervous to I-I mean I'm excited to meet her but I don't know" I said with a nervous laugh
CM: "I'm sure she's fantastic,and you'll be an amazing guide for her"
C: "no,no it's just- I'm sure she's an amazing person it's just what if- well what I'm meaning to say is she's from a different country and I'm sure she'll be missing her parents and friends you know"
CM: "yeah, your worried that she's not gonna like you,or your not be able to understand and that's ok that's why you took classes in school" she said with a small smile
C: " yeah,you're right" I said with a relieved sigh
CM: " anyway go ahead and eat and then we need to start working on the spare bedroom. Oh and before I forget make sure you clean your room. "
C: "I know mom I looked at the list" I said a little meaner than I meant
CM: "seriously I mean it" she said with a glare
C: "alright,alright I'll do it as soon as I'm finished eating"
CM: "you better" she said as she disappeared upstairs
"Sheesh" I mumbled heading over to the cabinet to get out a bowl. I sat my bowl down on the island and went to the pantry to get some cereal,I sat the cereal down and grabbed the milk out of the fridge and grabbed a spoon. I fixed my cereal and put everything away. Putting my phone down I went over to the sink and rinsed out my bowl and checked the time "10:34" is what my phone read, I headed upstairs passing my mom on the way without exchanging words and darting into my room.
2:35 p.m.
CM: " ALRIGHT YOU GUYS LETS GO! "
CD: "calm down sweetheart we'll make it"
C: "yeah mom,calm down" I said with a playful smirk
CM: "well it takes us about 1 hour to get there and then we gotta park and the-"
CD: "well maybe stop talking and get in the car" he said leaving my mom glaring
We pulled in at exactly 3:45, getting out of the car we headed inside the airport and over to the pick up station. We got there and sat down until they said that the plane was landing. About 25 minutes later I see her, a blonde beauty walking our way....
"Fuck" I said under my breath as she stood in front of us.
