The Exchange Student

The Dinner: Part 3

                                    Cole's Pov

I walked downstairs and my eyes went straight to lili holy shit she was hot! I couldn't help it, it was like I was drawn to her. She looked deep in thought and I couldn't help but notice the way her nose was scrunched up as she continued to think, that was until I decided to speak up.

C: "mom,dad,lili you look stunning..." I said smirking which caused her to blush, how adorable .

L: "th-thank you, you look very nice as well" she said stuttering

CD: "Cole took you long enough" he said giving me a glare

C: "well I couldn't decide which shoes to wear but I'm here now aren't I?" I said not laying back on the attitude

CM: "I suppose,now let's go before they give up our table"

We made our way out of the house and into the car,we made small talk and me and lili didn't exchange many words except how we learned we both love writing. We pulled up the restaurant at 9:15 and my mother ushered us out of the car mentioning how she hates being late especially to reserved spots. We walked in and may I say it was quite the eye catcher there were couples, possibly on a date,or maybe they just liked to eat somewhere fancy here and there. My mother made her way over to the desk and they led us to our table,we sat down and ordered our drinks but since me and lili were obviously underage we had gotten water (served in champagne glasses) and the adults got champagne. A couple minutes later they had taken our order and we were talking as we waited.

CD: "so lili what do your parents do?"  he said looking at her

L: "well my mom is an interior designer and my dad he works for a company called "G & H"." She said picking up her glass and sipping her water

My parents eyes widened and jaws dropped.

CM: "y-y-you mean the multimillion wine business?" She said as if she'd just seen a celebrity

L: "Yes mam that would be it" she replied  giving her a sweet smile

CD: "wow, so your dad must stay pretty busy then?"

L: "oh yes always travelling back and forth, calls at every hour of the day,mostly at work. Sometimes it gets annoying because we barely see him but he loves what he does"

CM: "And your mother how is she?"  She asked interested

L: " she also loves what she does,very much but it also is very annoying because she gets out of hand sometimes and constantly redecorating parts of the house but I'm happy she's happy in what she does" she finished with a somewhat sad smile

My parents were asking more and more questions and by the time they had probably wore lili out the food arrived and we dug in. Of course it was delicious and we had finished and had payed and headed home. We entered the house at 11:13 and everyone had said there goodnights and headed to their rooms. Me and lili made it to the top of the stairs when I turned to look at her and caught her before she opened her door.

C: "um..I just wanted to say sorry about my parents asking so many questions tonight I mean not gonna lie I was quite impressed when I heard it to but I am really sorry if they overstepped and th-" I started to say before she cut me off

L: " Cole it's ok and no they were perfectly fine I'm used to its not everyday you meet the daughter of one of the most popular wine businesses" she said giggling

C: "yeah..yeah your right um, I guess I'm gonna head off to bed."

L: "yeah me to.." She said as I stared into her emerald green eyes

C: "alright well goodnight" I said a little lower than a whisper

L: "night" she trailed off as she backed into her door walking inside

Gosh what are doing cole!?  I thought as I mentally slapped myself
