Sunset Trip

"Friday check the CCTV footage from San Francisco near the last known locations of Percy Jackson." Tony asked. His mind was swirling with thoughts and questions. When did he come to new york? Why didn't Tony know? And why was he in such a hurry right now? 

"In san Francisco Perseus Jackson was spotted in multiple places before going offline. Afterwards he was also seen in California, Rome and more places. I also checked past flight schedules and none of them match with his arrival or departure from those places", Friday answered helpfully.

"Then what's his last known location?" "He was last seen heading towards long island." What's so special about long island? No aliens or bad guys as far as he know... maybe something related to his powers? 

He knew that he should've opened up to someone, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Tony felt that if he shared anything about him, he would stop wondering about him. Normally that's a good thing but when has Tony ever been normal? He didn't want to stop thinking about him. Whether he was okay? If he was hurt? Did he finally make friends?  He didn't care if it hurt him. The billionaire thought that if he stopped wondering, he would forget and that, would hurt him more. He kept thinking and pondering over the matter for so long he didn't even realize it was sundown. He hated the sunset. It always brought back memories of his favourite day. 

[FLASHBACK BROUGHT TO YOU BY ZOE FROM ELYSIUM]

'TONY! 'ONY! LOOK!' Percy was running here and there while screaming and gasping in excitement. 'ITS SO RED! AND ORANGE! AND YELLOW! AND AND-' 'Yes percy its beautiful' 'ITS AMAZING'

Tony laughed at his excitement. He looked at him and he knew then and there; he would protect this kid with his life. The genius wanted to protect his innocence and just tuck him in a pocket and keep him safe. He knew it was wishful thinking but still he wanted it to be true, a world without crime is just a dream, a fantasy even. 

-ONY!' The inventor was suddenly jerked from his daydream by a yelling 6 year old. 'LOOK ITS BECOMING BLACK!' They had actually came to this tall of a mountain whose name no one knew when Percy told Tony that he had never seen a sunset. They had immediately set out on one of his jets but Percy said he wanted to hike even though he didn't know what that meant. The supposed 'hike' was just Percy walking for 5 minutes and then nagging Tony to give him a piggy back ride. Even though Percy may be tiny it was hard carrying a 6 year old and walking for 3 miles. He may be fit but he's not Steve. 

They had their mini picnic there with Percy munching on a blue sandwich and Tony drinking his smoothie. they had finally made it back home and it was way past percy's bedtime. They had intended to come early but Percy really wanted an ice-cream. Pe even used the most powerful move a son of Poseidon could use: the baby seal eyes. It could even melt Natasha, a literal rock. So they had ice-cream, which had to be blue, and with half of Percy's blueberry ice-cream on splattered on his face.

On their way back home Percy had fallen asleep. Poor kid, Tony thought, he had been running around and was probably tired from all the jumping. Don't give the kid sugar and teach him that coffee is a villain, he noted. After reaching home, Tony gently took the kid up to his room and tucked him in. The only reason he remembers that day is because of that one word Percy said and it was the first time he did. The next day Percy had completely denied ever saying the word, going as far as to say that he didn't even know the meaning of the it. But tony was sure and was ready to even bet his arm that percy had called him 'Dad'

His eyes were filled with tears and some dripped down his cheek. He missed his kid.
