The Only Way Out (A modern Clato fanfic)

Chapter 7

Cloves POV

"Shut the fuck up Finnick! That was a dare and you knew it!" Johanna shouts. "Well, you kissed him back didn't you?" Finnick teases. We're talking about the party we had at Cato's last year, when Blight was dared to kiss Johanna. We shipped them for a while, until Johanna decided to beat the shit out of Bight. It was pretty bad. That was the last time we mention Johanna doing anything with a boy.

"Ok, let's do spin the bottle, with a twist." Annie says. Dammit. Spin the bottle is the worst. "Instead of kissing, we do truth or dare."She says, making eye contact with me. I mouth the words "thank you" and she nods, smiling. She knows the incident from the start of high school, the one that made Glimmer hate my guts.

"Me first!" Marvel squeals. I swear, he acts like he's a little gay boy, but we've asked him several times, and he claims to be straight. He spins the bottle, and it lands on Gale. "Ok, Gale, truth or dare." Marvel says. "Truth." Gale replies. This is gonna be good.

"How long have you really liked Madge?" Marvel says, raising his eyebrow. We all look at Gale.

"Well....... I guess my crush started in the sixth grade, the summer before we started middle school." He says. "Damn. Madge, you may have a stalker on your hands. I can beat him up if you wan-." Johanna says, before she is cut off by Madge. "Johanna, for the last time, he is not a stalker!" We laugh. Madge rests her head on Gale's shoulder, while he puts his arm around her. Everyone is awing and saying how cute they are, while Johanna is sitting there chanting "STALKER! STALKER! STALKER," Madge shoots her a look. Jo puts her hands up to surrender. "Ok! Geez, I'll stop!" She says.

"Ok, Gale, spin the bottle already!" Annie pleads. He spins the bottle and it lands on Jo.

"Ok, truth or dare." Finnick says. "Dare! Someone's gotta get this party started!" She says. "Ok, I dare you to go around the room, and smell everyone's armpits!" Finnick says. "Oh, that's nothing. When you live with my brothers for eighteen years, you're basically nose blind." She says, rolling up her sleeves. "I don't know." Cato says. "I was just at the gym earlier, so get ready for some serious stink!" He says. "Oh please. Like you go to the gym." Jo says. Cato rolls his eyes and lifts up his arm. Jo sniffs it, then Annie's, Finnicks, Madge, Gale, Thresh, mine, Finch, Katniss's, Peetas, and Marvels, who's apparently were the best smelling out of all of us.

Johanna spins the bottle, and it lands on me. "Dare!" I screech. "Ok, walk like a model down the sidewalk!" She says. "Ok. Where's my feather boa." I say, flicking my hair behind my shoulder. Finnick hands me a boa from a Halloween bin he found.

I walk outside and stand in front of a random lady's house. I wrap the boa around my neck and strut down the sidewalk. Instead of his neighbors telling me to leave they turn on music.

I know this song. This is gonna be good.

"We like the cars. The cars that go boom" I sing, as I continue to strut around the street, hitting a few posses.

"We're Tigra. And bunny. And we like the boom."

I hit a few more posses before heading back to the house.

As I cross the street, a random person screams "YES QUEEN! WORK IT BITCH!"

I bow once and head back to the house. I bet inside, and everyone is on the floor laughing. Cato is laughing the most. "Holy shit Clover! That was fucking amazing!" He says. "Finnick, I want to move onto your street." I say, jokingly. "Omg I just had the most brilliant fucking idea ever." Jo says. "What?" Finch asks. "We're gonna wake everyone on the street up, by doing what Clove did tomorrow morning!" She says.

Oh god. Johanna, what have you done!

Sup betches. Sorry for another short chapter. What'd ya think of Cloves dare? And no, I didn't get that song from TikTok, it was my song for my first ever dance recital when I was six. (I was Tigra btw, and I slayed.)
