The Only Way Out (A modern Clato fanfic)

Chapter 11

(Btw this is like, right after the last chapter so it's the same day, and Cato just asked Clove to help him ask Idiot Barbie girl *Glimmer* out on a date.

Cato's POV

"Will you help me ask out Glimmer?" I ask her. She has a weird expression on her face.

"What? Is there something wrong? I say. "No, no, I'm just surprised you want my help to ask out a girl. You've asked out so many girls without help." She says. "Well, she's freaking Glimmer Hills, and you were friends with her, so you know what she likes." I tell her.

"You know I don't really like her." She says. "Yeah, But I really need help. Glimmer needs something special. Like her." I say. She sighs. "Yeah, fine. But if something goes wrong you can't blame me." She says. "Oh gosh Clover, you're the best!" I say, pulling her into a quick hug. "Yeah, now don't make me regret this." She says.

"Oh don't worry. You won't." I tell her.

Cloves POV

That was the hardest thing I have ever agreed to do.

I have to help my best friend, who I happen to be in love with, ask out my mortal enemy, Glimmer Hills. This fucking sucks.

Cato walks to what I hope is the bathroom, and not towards wherever Glimmer is, and Finnick, Annie, Jo, Kat, and Peeta walk out. Finch, Marvel, Madge, Gale, And Thresh are coming from the other way. "Guess what!" Finch says. "We're doing stage crew with you!" Marvel finishes. "I wanted to tell her." Finch complains. "Well, I did first." Marvel says. "Stop trying to fight with me! I can't stay mad at you, bastard!" Finch replies. " I can't stay mad at you either asshole!" Marvel says.

"Anyways, while the married couple argues, I'll tell you. We all signed up for stage crew, so now, everyone can be together." Madge tells me. "Well that's legit. I made Cato sign up for crew too." I say. "And you're still friends. Jeez, he must have the patience of a god to still be able to put up with your crap." Jo says. "What's that I smell? Hmm, maybe... bullshit." I reply. She laughs. "Excuse me, third grade called. They want their comebacks back." She jokes. Now I'm laughing to.

Jo and I always joke around like this. We have since the sixth grade.

The boys head over to find Cato, while the girls stay with me. "So, I saw you guys talking. Did he ask you anything?" Annie asks. "Well he sure did ask me something." I tell them. "Really! What is it?" Kat asks. "He wanted help." I say. The girls look confused.

"He wanted my help asking out Glimmer."

Sup betches. Sorry this chapter is short. I've been busy for the last like, five days, so I haven't uploaded, and while I was busy, I couldn't really think of any ideas. And yes, I know in one of the last it says Cato was gonna ask out Glimmer at the auditions, but I changed that. Now he wants Cloves help to ask her out. Just wanted to clear that up.
