I slowly opened my eyes as a blurry vision of sparkles and rainbows hit my head. There was a ringing sound accompanied by periodic beeping sounds. An oxygen mask was covering my face, something that helped me breathe through my stinging throat. An irritating pain hit my arm as I looked at it. There was a pipe inserted into my right hand; I knew what this was. I was put on saline, was I in a hospital? I looked around, light was pouring out of what I'm guessing is a window from behind where I was laying. The room itself was pretty decorative, the ceiling had a ceiling fan and was equipped with lights at each corner. The walls were made of some kind of brown, wood-like texture.

I was feeling extremely weak, like my whole body was sore, each part of me was tiring me down. A slight creaking sound was accompanied by a woman in a cream-colored light salwar-kameez, hair tied back in a bun, a medium build woman of perhaps her late-twenties or early-thirties, donning a huge pair of black, square-shaped frame of spectacles covering a light-brown round face. She sat down by the chair beside me, studied the various machinery or the equipment that was laying beside my bed, never looking once directly at me. She was noting something down in a small notebook and when I lifted my hand and put it back down.

She was now looking at the saline bottle and the IV and made sure everything was alright I guess. She still hadn't looked at me once. When she was gazing at my hand and trying to make sure the cannula wasn't disturbed, I gave it a slight jerk which pretty sure startled her as she made it evident from her startled squeak. She then looked at my face, right into my eyes, a face full of surprise and shock stared at me. I tried to smile at her, hopefully it came out as a smile. She then pulled out a phone and immediately dialed some number and was pacing irritably as she waited for a response on the other hand.

"Hello, yes Doctor Ranjit?... This is Prerna..... Yes Doc..... The patient is awake. Doctor?..... Yes, he seems to be responsive..... No Doc, I haven't informed them yet..... Okay, I'll ask them to wait till you come."

The woman spoke on the phone for a while, looked at me, then slowly left the room. I tried to stop her by asking her to wait but I was unable to speak, I was feeling too weak or too tired or something but I just couldn't bring any voice out of my throat. I tried to get up but as I tried to lift my body, there was an immense blinding pain that followed which made it near impossible for me to move. And my head was constantly throbbing. I tried to stay awake, maybe try questioning myself and try understanding what was happening but my eyes were getting heavier every moment and I was getting drowsy and before I knew, everything turned black.

I woke up again, my body was slightly sore but was feeling way better than before. The room itself was pretty dark, almost negligible lighting that kept me in darkness. I tried to look around, noticing a lot of changes within the room. For starters, the room had no ceiling, it was giving me a direct view at the night sky. The walls were painted black with a few pictures of me laughing framed in bright cherry-red frames which were hung slightly off angle. I sat up to get a better look at my surroundings to notice that the room didn't have a floor either, it was just pitch black. Suddenly I was falling into the floor.

I was on a couch, a white and black striped colored adorned with a wide spectrum of colored polka dot like circles. I was comfortably seated on the sofa, my legs stretched and resting on the dark brown coffee table in front of me. On the top was an open laptop with a blank screen. There was a huge television connected to lots of wires which were going all through the room. Above the television set was a shelf of books that held lots of books, books of various vividly different colored covers, none with a title on them.

The room was all white, the floors white, the walls white, the ceiling white, everything apart from the couch which was now a striped mix of tangerine and dirt brown with cream colored designs of torn papers sewed into the fabric of the couch. I got up from the couch, taking a step forward when a soft giggle sounding like that of a small kid disturbed my ears. I swiftly turned backwards in the direction of the sound, just to be greeted by a mysteriously designed sofa leaning over a brightly painted, shiny coated white wall. Suddenly the walls started to crack and fall off.
