VIII: The Littlest of Blessings

"Not going to be the last to fall, hot shot," Heatwave growled as Kade almost shot a glare at him. Kade tried to get the woman off the minivan. "-We can drop a winch for you guys-," Dani offered. "I can handle it!," Kade says as Heatwave wants to say something, but decides against it.

Even if Heatwave wanted to so badly curse the man, but he couldn't, and he hated it. "Fire-Bot, keep going down," Kade ordered as Heatwave felt his energon boil with his own anger. "I'm about to slip, you fragger," Heatwave hissed as he felt himself slipping closer and closer into the waters due to the mud. Heatwave growled to himself before trying to reach more down for Kade to reach.

"Haley, I got you, you need to jump!," Kade says as Heatwave tried to keep reaching downward. Heatwave could've sworn his weight is pulling him over the edge as the water runs underneath him. Then Heatwave felt himself slipping as Hayley jumped into Kade's arms as the minivan fell into the water. Then the water lifted the minivan onto the road.

Heatwave then almost slips making him throw Kade and Hayley to the ground as he falls down the edge. He managed to grab the ledge of the cliff as he was covered by the mud as he could feel pebbles and sticks sliding under his armor. Heatwave managed to get up from the ledge as he shot a nasty glare at Kade, who was too busy looking lovey dovey at Haley as she was giving the same look.

"How about we both get some coffee," Kade offered as Hayley smiled. "Sure," Hayley says as they leave Heatwave, who was giving Kade a burning glare that the man didn't even notice.

The water then formed into a human, a man who looked to be in his early 20s, hair of like the water, wearing a blue t-shirt and dark blue shorts as sunglasses cover his eyes, and wearing tennis shoes. Heatwave looked at him with a begging to go home look, the man nodded at him before hopping into the driver's seat.

"Thank you, Blue," Heatwave thanked as Blueshift patted his driving wheel. Blueshift held the wheel as Heatwave drove back to the Firehouse. Arriving at the firehouse, Heatwave went to the bunker and Blueshift changed into water, then went to the bucket. Getting into the bucket before coming back from the sink.

"Very resourceful," Heatwave commented as the water formed into a mech, but the lower part of the body was still water. "I want.... To help," Blueshift spoke soft and quietly as Heatwave sat on the crate. Then Heatwave started picking at his armor, trying to get whatever debris he could find under his armor.

Blueshift put soap into the bucket full of water and put a sponge in it, soaking it. Then using the soapy sponge to clean Heatwave, who manages to find a few rocks and pebbles.

"Need... To speak?," Blueshift asked as Heatwave sighed. "I sometimes hate Kade, leaving me to drive back, thanks for helping get back here without any suspicion," Heatwave says as Blueshift nodded. "It will.... Get better," Blueshift spoke as Heatwave sighed. "How better? Him being more of a bastard?," Heatwave almost growled as Blueshift rubs his helm with the sponge, cleaning the mud off his helm. "Need help?," Cody asked as Blueshift handed him another sponge.

"Thanks, Blue," Cody thanked as Blueshift smiled at him before poking Heatwave's side, making him flinch. Heatwave turned slowly and playfully glared at the mech as Blueshift faced him innocently.

"Don't think I didn't know it was you," Heatwave hissed as he cracked a smile as Blueshift poked him on his nose piece. "Boop," Blueshift replied as Heatwave snorted a laugh. "Whatever," Heatwave snorted as Blueshift made a face at him. Cody laughs a bit as he wipes the sponge on Heatwave's stabilizer. Heatwave then took out a large branch from under his armor making him almost groan and cringe with disgust.

Putting the branch on the ground, Heatwave looked at his arm seeing the mud and few leaves on it. "What happened?," Cody asked as Heatwave looked down at the young boy. "Guess, refusing to have a winch to hold onto and ended up almost falling into the river, then leaving me to drive my way back to the Firehouse, sounds like fun," Heatwave lightly joked while seething.
