Claret feels tension towards the girl she’s facing right now. Mataas ito at maganda ang katawan na para bang isang modelo sa isang sikat na kompanya. The girl’s straight hair was ponytailed and is wearing a fit black casual cloth that perfectly emphasized her curve waist. Kanina pa ito nakatingin sa kaniya na para bang may mali sa mukha niya.
“Ano bang kailangan mo sa akin?” si Claret na winasak ang katahimikan sa pagitan nilang dalawa. Natasya take off her sunglasses and showed her almond eyes to the girl in her front. Hindi niya inaasahang maganda pala ang maamong mukha ni Claret sa personal. The girl is not wearing any make up on but claret doesn’t need it anyway, her natural beauty is beyond normal.
“I will be straight to the point Ms. Claret.”
“Claret nalang. So anong rason mo para papuntahin ako dito?” Natasya sipped a less amount of apple juice before setting her eyes again to Claret.
“Do you love him?” deretsong tanong ni Natasya sa kaharap.Pansin niyang iginawi ni Claret ang tingin sa labas ng restaurant na hindi kalayuan sa sub-division na tinitirhan niya.
“Binayaran ka ba niya para kausapin ako?” May galit sat ono ng pananalita ni Claret.
“Just answer the quest-”
“What if I don’t?”
“Then you’re a sh*t!” Claret slapped Natasya as she was insulted by what she called her na agad namang ibinalik ng babae ang samplal kay Claret.
“And that’s for slapping me. You could have other choices. You could also call me a shit of trash but you chose the wrong move Claret.” Kasalukuyang nagtitinginan sa kanilang gawi ang maliit na bilang ng mag taong naroroon. Claret smiled fiercely.
"Ano bang alam mo? Did he tell you anything? Good! I guess I gotta go, marami pa akong gagawin.” Claret grabbed her sling bag at akmang aalis but Natasya caught her arms.
“Alam mo bang ang bobo mo? Aside from your beauty I don’t see any reasons why he loves you so much that he can’t see me.”
“Ma’am is everthing’s-” hindi na natapos pa ng manager ng restaurant ang sana’y sasabihin dahil agad itong sinagot ni Natasya.
“Of course we’re good, nag-uusap lang kami. Can you give us privacy, please?” agad namang tumango ang may edad na manager ng kanilang kinaroroonan at tumalikod na. Claret automatically sit when Natasya used her eyes to do so. Hindi sa sumusunod siya ditto, gusto niya lang marinig ang klahat bago siya umalis sa sub-division at bumalik sa probinsya.
“Dyllan and I were friends since college.” Parang may namumuong panibugho sa puso ni Claret nang marinig ang sinabi ng dalaga.
“Ano bang kinalaman ko kung matagal na kayong magkaibigan? Wala akong pakialam sa-”
“and that’s the problem! Wala kang pakialam sa kung anong nagyayari kay Dyllan. Alam mo bang ngayon lang siya nagpakita ng pag-ibig and so bad hindi sa akin iyon. I could give him the world just to make him happy. I could give him my body kung gugustuhin lang niya pero malas ko lang iba ang tinitibok ng puso niya.”
“Why are you saying these things?”
“Dahil ayaw kong nawawala sa sarili ang taong mahal na mahal ko!”
“So anong gusto mong gawin ko? Purihin siya sa ginawang pangloloko sa akin? To apologise to him for ruining my life?”
“Claret don’t be too stupid!”
“And don’t act like you know everything because you don’t!”
“Yes I don’t know everything, but isa lang ang masasabi ko Claret. Don’t waste someone’s diamond. I have waited more than five years hoping he could love me too, hoping he could see me like how I see him. But that’s too impossible dahil na’sayo ang isang bagay na wala sa akin at hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yon! Kung hindi mo siya kayang bigyan ng pagkakataong magpaliwanag pwes kahit ako nalang. You must know how I am hurt that o waited for years and he not even gave me a single glimpse of his love, pero ikaw? Ilang lingo lang at hayun siya palaging naglalasing, palaging ikaw ang bukambibig kahit na ako ang nasa tabi niya.” Claret’s tears fell from her cheeks. All what Natasya said makes sense.
“Just please, give him a chance. I can’t see him suffer. His intension is not bad. Jus please give him a chance.” Iyon lamang ang huling sinabi ni Natasya bago umalis sakay ng kaniyang kotse. The girl left a dollar with so much left change. Claret then left the restaurant and realizes everthing.
“What have I done?”

Claret filled her lungs with the resh air that comes from the horse riding section of the Montefalco Hotel. Sirado pa ang lugar na iyon pero dahil clear glass ang nasal abas nito, malayang natatanaw ng kung sino mang magpupunta doon. May nakalagay na ribbon sa entrance ng gate ng naturang lugar na nagsasabing magaganap ang cutting of ribbon sa anong oras. She wonders kung kailan iyon bubuksan. Cedric called her this morning dahil may importante daw silang pag-uusapan. Cedric is a good person kaya naman pinaunlakan niya ang lalaki. She caught her breath when she smelled a familiar scent. It’s the same perfume she gave him as a present because he accompanied her to Tagaytay. Nang araw ding iyon hinanap njya ang binata ngunit hindi niya na ito na ito naabutan, hindi niya alam kung nasaan na ito. Claret closed her eyes in pain. Kung sana’y binigyan niya ito ng pagkakataong magpaliwanag. Hinanap niya ang pinaggagalingan ng pamilyar na amoy. At nang makarating siya sa mismong lugar kung saan naroroon ang malaking ribbon, bigla nalang nawala ang amoy. She was about to leave the place when she heard him. “Are you looking for me?” Claret turned her back and she can’t help but to cry as they approached each other. Dyllan hugged her tight and kissed her forehead.
“I’m-so I’m so sorry!” Ani Claret habang patuloy ang pagtulo ng kaniyang luha. Dyllan wiped her cheeks.
“It’s okey, patawarin mo rin ako Claret, I really don’t have a bad intension. Sinasadya kong ipakita sa’yo ang totoong ako dahil gusto kong isipin mong hindi ako si Daniel.Darn, I missed you so much Claret.”
“Saan ka na naman ba nanggaling?” Ani Claret habang kinakalma ang sarili sap ag-iyak.
“Akala ko mawawala ka na naman, please don’t ever go. I need you so bad.”
Dyllan distance himself to Claret while not letting go of her hands.
“Claret, I love you from the day I saw you. Akala ko’y puro pasakit lamang ang makukuha ko sa pagbalik ng Pilipinas, I never expected you’re the greatest treasure I could ever have. Claret my name is Dyllan Kristoffer Montefalco.” Ani Dyllan at iniluhod ang isang tuhod habang hinawakan ang kamay ng dalaga at kinuha ang maliit na kahon sa bulsa.
“I love you very much Claret, will you give me a chance to prove that my love is not just the sweetest lie and that my identity will not be the sweetest secret but a love that will lasts forever? Let me prove to you that I will do everything my strength could give just for you, till the last breath I could take until our body turns to dust, will you please marry me?”
Claret who’se hands covering her nose and mouth, cries in joy.
“Yes! Dyllan Yes I wanna be your wife!” Dyllan crying in tears gently put the diamond ring on Claret’s finger and kissed her with all his heart.
“Claret I love you so much, thank you for accepting me. I couldn’t live without you Oh Claret!” They kissed like there’s no tomorrow and it just stopped when Cedric clear his throat.
“Sir, itutuloy pa po ba nation ang ribbon cutting?” The newly engaged laughed together. Dyllan’s happiness can’t be measure. He doesn’t know what tomorrow could brig but he promised to stay on her side ‘till the day he die.
