Westminster Palace, England
𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐇 walks through the halls of Westminster Palace, her head down as she moves with quick steps. She mutters the Hail Mary under her breath, clutching rosary beads tight in her trembling hands. She doesn't stop muttering the prayer under her breath until she reaches the privy council room, where her husband, King Henry VII, is sitting.
"Henry," she exclaims. The queen pushes the door open and makes her way over to where he is seated, "Have you had news?
The king lets out a sigh as he looks up at her, "First, we're told her brother dies and her mother cannot spare her. Then the princess has a fever, and again she is delayed, and now I hear some Moorish rebellion blocks her passage. Are you sure God isn't trying to keep her from us, Lizzie?"
He doesn't wait for an answer as he stands up from his seat, clearly frustrated with what has been going on. The worried man makes his way over to the small fireplace on one side of the room.
"God tests her resolve, and ours, but every threat is overcome, so it seems to me that God protects our princess and brings her to us," Lizzie explains to her husband. She rests a hand on his arms, attempting to comfort him.
"My bride has sailed, Mother?" Prince Arthur, Henry and Elizabeth's eldest son and heir to the English throne, asks. Unbeknownst to his parents that he had heard the last part of the conversation as he waited at the door.
"She has, so you must leave for Dogmersfield House, where she will break the journey and you may meet," Lizzie says, turning to look at her son.
"Are you not coming with me?" Arthur asks, "If not you, then can Alexandra come?"
"Your new brother cannot bear the journey. And Alexandra is accompanying Harry, he has requested she stay with him," Lizzie explains as she rested her hands on her swelling stomach, "Richard Pole will ride with you as always, and your Aunt Maggie will attend to you."
The Prince of Wales does not say another word as he bow before turning and leaving the room. He tries to mask his disappointment, Harry always has Alexandra by his side. Even when they were children, Harry never let anyone play with his twin other than himself. He was very protective of her to the point where he was almost possessive.
The prince let out a huff of frustration and left the room in a hurry,
Once Arthur is gone, Lizzie makes her way over to Henry.
