Chapter II

(The next morning. It's sunny and not too hot)

Lumine's P.O.V.

I wake up in a bed. 'Wha...where am I?' Then I remember what happened yesterday. That I'm at Neptune HQ. I sit up and look out the window. I hear a knock at the door.

"Come in." I shout. The door opens with Aiden. He walks in.

"Hey Lumine, how'd you sleep."

"F-fine, thanks." I say as I grab my backpack, thinking I should go.

"You know, I've been thinking. Maybe you could stay with us for a while. If you want to of course." I drop everything.

"Really, thanks Aiden!" I squeal. "It's been a while since someone has done something this nice for me..." I trail off. I set down my backpack.

"Now k'mon, breakfast is waiting." He says as I follow him downstairs to the kitchen.

Downstairs the air smelled like bacon and eggs.  I get a plate and sit down at the table. Kody sits down next to me.

"Hey Lumine, you feeling better." He questions. I almost forgot about what happened last night.

"Yea...I feel better now." I say. I warmly smile and eat. It's been a while once I got a good meal, so I felt a lot better after.

After I finish and put my dishes in the sink, I look for the bathroom to take a shower.

I walk down the hallway, walking by all the closed door. Then one of the doors opened and hit me in the face.

"Ouch!" I yell as I fell to the floor. Kody comes out from behind the door and helps me up.

"Sorry Lumine, I didn't mean to hit you." He pauses. "Also, what are you doing anyways?"

"Oh, it's fine. And I'm trying to find the bathroom." I scratch my head.

"Oh it's right there." He says as he points to the only open door. I embarrassingly turn red and cover my face.

"Oh...haha. Oops. Thank you." I kindly say as I walk in and shut the door.

After I get out of the shower, I grab my towel and— 'Oh god. What do I wear!" I begin panic until I the door knock.

"Hey, it's Aiden. I got some clothes for you to wear. Sorrry their Kody's though."

"No, it's fine." I open the door just enough to slide my hand out. I grab the clothes and close the door. 'Wow, that was close. He's like a witch or something (get the reference).'

I quickly get dressed and go out of the room. I walk into the living room and sit down on the couch next to Kody. He seems to not really notice, probably because he's using his headphones. I grab the remote and start to flick through the channels.

Kody takes off his earphones and looks at me.

"Oh hey Lumine."

"Hey Kody." I say. "Thank you and you dad for everything. It's really been a while since I've been treated...like a person." I look down sadly.

"You ok?" He asks.

"Yea." I lie. "I'm just a bit tired." He looks at me like he knows I'm lying.

"I know it's not that, but whatever. That's not my business. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go for a walk?"

"Yeah, that would be nice. I need to take my mind off of stuff anyways." His tail slowly wags as his ears perk up. I get up and get my shoes on. And I follow him out the door.

Kody's P.O.V.

We walk outside by the outskirts of the woods. I slowly walk into the woods as he follows.

After about fifteen minutes, I stop.

"Lumine, I want to tell you something." I say to him to get his attention.

"Sure." He says.

"It's a secret, Lumine. You have to promise to never tell anyone." Hi looks at me with a straight face.

"I promise."

"Ok..." I get ready.

*Poof*

'Shit'

I forgot that I can't transform into my normal form and I transformed into a 'werepup' form.

"Uhh, why is it so small?" Lumine questioned.

"I don't really know why, anyways, you'll see it someday."

"I think it's cute." 'Thank god he cant see my face right now' "T-Thanks."
Lumine's P.O.V.

When we got back to the house, the sun was just about to leave the horizon. The air was cool but damp. We walked inside and I got ready for bed.

After I get into bed and lay down thinking about the day. Suddenly, my thoughts become dread. My dreams become nightmares, and I feel awful. 'Oh know. It's happening again!'
