I Don't Understand

Izuku banged his head into the pillow of the hosptial bed, mumbling bad things about himself. Kaminari stared at the vampire boy from his seat. "You okay...?" Kaminari questioned. He broke his mumbles up for a second to say "I'm fine, don't worry!!" before going right back to degrading himself.

"This is Midoriya we're talking about.. he just found out that he can only drink other's blood, and there's a chance he'll become aggressive without it. He's not going to take it well." Uraraka pointed out.

Izuku bit into his lip, wishing badly that it would draw blood. He wanted something, anything, to prove that he was still human. The results for the tests were in, and Kaminari was right. He was a 75% blood. He needed to drink human blood to survive, and lots of it, couldn't eat anything else, and Kaminari kept saying that he should be able to grow retractable wings. He didn't know if the last one was true, as he hadn't tried it. Also, if he were to go more than a day or two without drinking blood, he'd become aggressive.

Recovery Girl had went out to go get some blood bags for Izuku, leaving him in the hands of his two worried friends.

"Hey, wanna talk about it?" he heard Uraraka say, placing a hand on his shoulder. "... not really, no..." he wasn't good at expressing emotions. He had learned to repress everything at a young age, as people would call him weak or say he was a crybaby when he showed them.

Having friends at UA, while it was nice, didn't do much good with that problem. They just had a tendancy to shove right through his walls.

This time, however, Uraraka seemed to accept his answer, instead hugging him. The hug felt nice, as if he were welcomed here even while he was like this. He returned the hug, a smile smile on his face.

He hoped that this occurance wouldn't destroy his relationship with the rest of the class. It was weird, they had befriended him despite his quirklessness, but he didn't mind it.

Izuku pulled himself away at some point, hearing the door open. Recovery Girl came in, saying "you're all set to go now, dearie. The blood bags are in a cooler in the kitchen, it has your name on it."

Izuku nodded, "thank you, ma'am"

The group left the room, and headed back for the dorms.

Honestly, Izuku was happy that they were still going to let him attend the hero course.

"Oh, look!! A cooler with Midoriya's name on it!!" Sero yelled, pointing at the cooler. "Ooooh, let's peak and see what's inside it~" Toru cheered.

"That would be an invasion of his privacy!!" Iida said, chopping his arms mid air. Alas, it was too late, as they had already opened it up.

".....Why blood bags...?" Todoroki asked with a deadpan expresion.

"OH MY GOSH HE'S A VAMPIRE!!!"

Now, I feel sorry for Izuku, because somehow, the students came to the conclusion that Izuku was a villain, and is under going rehab at UA. They also decided to comfront him about it the second he got into the room.

Which was right about... now.

He walked into the common room a bit behind Kaminari and Uraraka, a nervous expression apon his face.

Instantly, he was met by a yell of "Midoriya!!! Why didn't you tell us you were a vampire villain?!"

"Gah!!" He got increadibly startled by the loud yell, and hid behind Kaminari, shaking visibly. "Dude, Midoriya isn't a villain. Why would you think that?" Kaminari asked, patting the vampire's head. "Well, there's a cooler filled with blood bags with his name on it, and it doesn't make sense for him to be able to get into the hero course quirkless, so he must be a vampire villain in rehab here!" Ashido explained, waving her hands wildly.

"Wh-wha?! Y-you g-g-guys!! I-I'm n-n-not i-in r-rehab.... I-I u-used r-rescue p-p-points to get in!!" Izuku studdered out from behind Kaminari. Uraraka nodded, as he had saved her from the zero-pointer. The rest of class 1-A let out a small "oh.."

"But that doesn't explain the blood bags.." Ashido pointed out.

Izuku stepped out from behind Kaminari nervously, and opened his mouth up, showing his fangs. "I-I'm s-s-sorry.... I-I g-got bit b-by a p-person with a v-vampire q-quirk, a-and now I-I'm l-like this... S-sorry..."

Why he kept apologizing when it wasn't his fault, I don't know.

His stomache growled at him loudly, and he sent a longing glance at the bite mark on Uraraka's wrist.

'No... you have blood bags for a reason...' Izuku thought to himself. "U-uhm.... I... I uhm...." He stumbled over his words, and instead just pointed at the cooler nervously. Uraraka seemed to get the message and nodded, grabing his hand. Izuku avoided looking at her, for fear of his hunger getting the better of him. She began walking towards the cooler, causing for Izuku to stumble a bit while he got dragged along. The rest of the class parted out of the way, seeing the hungry gaze Izuku held on the cooler.

Honestly, he could have walked there himself.

Izuku opened the cooler slowly, and gazed upon the bags filled with the red liquid. It seemed so delicous to him, which disgusted him. None the less, he pulled a bag out, biting it with his fangs.

He sucked the liquid out of the bag, a satisfied look on his face. And yet, he still felt rather hungry when the bag was empty. He pulled out a second bag, draining it of the blood as well. "Is that better?" Uraraka asked, and Izuku nodded. "Yeah, thanks Uraraka-chan, Kaminari-kun.."

This time, he didn't feel as guilty as he did drinking Uraraka's blood. He didn't actually harm anyone this time. Deep down, he knew that he had harmed Uraraka by biting her, even if she said it didn't hurt.

But with blood bags, his fangs only pierced plastic rather than skin. If he just drank out of blood bags, he wouldn't be a safety hazard for those around him.
