"Tenten watch your footing! Lee always seems to get you on speed!" The tall older man with brown hair yelled out at the two figures sparing in the ring.

"I know dad!" Tenten yelled trying to concentrate.

"Tenten! Your youthful spirit seems to be low, do you need a break?!" Lee yelled throwing a kick that the brunette blocked.

"No, I am good" almost out of breath "Just nervous about going to Japan to meet Neji's family next week"

"Okay everyone that is enough, let's take a break" Tenten's father yelled as he tossed them their water bottles.

Just then a man that looked similar to Lee came up to the ring "Tenten, Lee, I see that the power of youth has improved on your skills!" He yelled with a big grin.

Lee got pumped "Yes!"

Tenten just rolled her eyes at them.

"Guy, I want to say thank you for letting us use your gym after hours." He father said to the owner to the guy.

He put his thumb up "Of Course my friend! Tao, you know you are always welcomed here" He then focused his attention on his protege "Lee, I need help with moving out the karate supplys for tomorrows class!"

"OKAY!" Lee yelled jumping out of the ring to help.

Tenten laughed lightly at their antics as she jumps to the floor "I wish Neji wasnt working so late, it would have been good to spare with him."

Her father laughed "you would just loose" 

Tenten quickly turned feeling offended by his words "Ouch! to your own daughter?! I have been practicing, I will beat him! Just you see." 

"Tenten have you found anything nice to wear to meet Nejis family? It is red correct?" Tao asked.

"Yes, dad." She said with a little annoyance but knew he was just looking out for her. 

He smiled "Good because in China red symbolizes good fortune and fertility!"

She scrunched her face "Oh, your right becuase I was really going for that 'lucky baby maker' vibe." she said sarcastically.

"Hey don't you give me that attitude" he said lightly bopping her on the top of the head.

"Sorry, I am just nervous about this whole trip. I feel like I dont know anything about his family beside their names and the basics. All I know is that his parents died when he was young so he was taken in by his uncle and is very close to his cousins."

Tao sat next to his daughter "maybe he is embarrassed? They could be very poor and he has to send them money?"

"I wouldn't care honestly" a smile crept up on her face just thinking about Neji.

"you will have a great time daughter" he reached over holding her hand "Who knows if all goes well you might just have a ring on your finger?" he smiled.

"Dad, stop!" she pulled her hand away out of embrasement. "Neji and I haven't even talked about that!" she paused thinking "I mean his family can not not like me, right?"

Her father looked down and got up putting their supply in the bag.

"Dad?" she asked confused now standing behind him.

He looked over his shoulder with worry "You know to bring a girl all the way there to meet them can mean a lot to these overseas families. They are diffrent from us."

"How are they different? I mean I have Japanese blood running thorough me just like them."

Tao nodded his head now facing his daughter "Yes, but you grew up here. Listen, you look Japanese, you speak Japanese but here..... " he points at her head and heart "you are different."
