(Second year of high school)
Syo was in 2-A.
"Syoooooooo!!" Isao launched himself at him, ruffling his hair. "We're in the same class again! And since classes don't change, we're gonna be together all three years! Oh, and Pikari! Yoo-hoo, Pika-chan~! Ah! Katashi as well!"
"Yes, yes, good for us." Syo nodded.
The teacher walked into the class, and Isao quickly went back to his seat.
Self-introductions, huh? I can do this.
When his turn had come, he stood up, and took a deep breath. His voice came out deadpan. "My name is Teruya Syo. Uh...I'm in the soccer club. I was in 1-D previously. Uh...my family owns a bakery...um, thank you."
He sat back down, but the class looked slightly reluctant. The introductions went along, and then before he knew it...
"N-NISHIKAWA YUKO!"
Syo jumped a little along with the rest of the class. He turned to get a better look at the girl who had shouted. She was red and sinking in her chair. Syo exhaled.
Reminds me of Onii somehow.

That Yuko girl. She was strange. She was much more afraid of everyone than he thought she would be. But she seemed to get used to the boy sitting next to her, Takiyo Hamasaki, soon enough. Actually, there are times when she seemed like a just a normal high school girl, laughing and joking with her small group of friends.
She's also very apologetic. One day, Syo was just dozing off at his desk. But then suddenly, somebody cam crashing into his desk. He looked up and stared at the culprit, who, to his surprise, was Yuko.
"I'm so sorry!" she screamed, straightening my desk for me.
"No, it's..." Syo started to say, but then Michi Iseri looked around and asked, "Yuko-chan?" She took away her attention. Syo was still halfway through the process of coming to his senses, and by the time he did, he saw Yuko dashing out of the classroom. He cocked his head.
What a strange girl.

By the time summer vacation had rolled around, Syo was staring at himself grumpily in the mirror again. The scars were still very visible. Time for another torturous summer.
He slipped on his sweater, and left the house as quickly as he could. He was clearly running late already. Of course Katashi wouldn't wait for him in this case. However, he encountered Haruna, Riku and Mirai along the way.
"Hang on, Syo-chan?!" Haruna called, and Syo turned back momentarily.
"What?" Syo asked irritably. "I'm late! Why are you guys so laid-back?!"
"Cuz our school starts half an hour after yours?" Riku murmured.
"Hang on, you're wearing a sweater? Again?" Haruna frowned.
"What else can I do?" Syo grumbled, tugging his sleeves impatiently. "Well, if that is all. Bye!"
Haruna, Riku and Mirai merely stared.
"What a casual guy..." Mirai commented. He pushed his new glasses up his nose. "He didn't even comment on my new look."

Syo was not one to catch the attention of people easily, so many did not question this anticlimactic fashion choices. Even though everyday seemed like physical hell. He worked on the excuse of 'being sensitive to cold' and constantly putting off his teachers.
