Author's Note: Thanks for reading! I know I'm more well-known for my oneshot series but I would love it if you voted and commented for this to show your support! I wanted to make a more harem-ish series, so I started this! Please enjoy!

The reader is a Daemos, and Asch's advisor!

—————

"This isn't good, this isn't good at all!" Your strained voice echoes throughout Asch's chambers as you analyze the Magic Ministry's latest report. Things weren't looking well, Daemos was on the verge of crisis.

"(Y/n)..." Asch looks up from his desk. "Get some rest." The prince stares at your face, noting the large bags under your eyes and tired expression. You haven't slept in three days, and it would soon be four if you pulled another all-nighter. A yawn slipped out of your mouth as you continued to read the report, ignoring Asch.

"The last human soul in Daemos..." you muttered. "Are we really that far down the rabbit hole?" You bury your face into the palms of your hands.

Asch's posture tenses as he hears you mutter those words. His mind wanders to Pierce and the others. After all, they were currently harvesting the soul they needed for Lady Grandma—a dangerous action that could cost their own lives. He briefly wondered how you would react when you inevitably found out his plan.

"(Y/n), please" the prince begs. Asch, second in line to the throne of the empire, stared at you helplessly and begged you to rest. But you couldn't, not yet. The matter at hand was too important...

...that was until you collapsed onto the desk. The prince sighed, he knew this would happen. He peered at your sleeping face, sighing as he carries you bridal style to his plush bed. "Sleep well (Y/n)..." he'd come back for you, but for now, he needed to rendezvous with Pierce and his fleet.

Three hours had passed as you awoke from your slumber. Asch was no where to be seen, that is, until the door to his quarters opened. "You're awake..." he whispers. The prince motions for you to follow him, and you do.

"Where are we going?" You question, arching a brow.

"Emergency meeting!" He simply responds before he grabs hold of your wrist. A heat spreads through your cheeks.

The two of you finally arrive at the venue. Leif is quick to make his presence known. He swiftly and gently raises your right hand to his lips, giving it a light peck. His eyes wander to your face as he smirks. "Why hello there, (Y/n) (L/n)." You see right though his womanizing actions.

"Save it." You glare at him. "This is important."

"She's right, you know?" Rhys chimes in. The fate of Daemos rests on our shoulders right now." He continues. You didn't think the meeting was that important until now. A wave of uneasiness washes over you, you feel like throwing up. Was it anxiety? Insomnia? Your thoughts were interrupted by another voice.

"(Y/n)?" Noi's concerned voice reaches your ears as he approaches you with caution. He reaches out to you, patting your back in a soothing motion. It was probably from the lack of sleep. "(Y/n), I heard from Asch that you haven't slept for days, you haven't even had a proper meal!" You shoot a glare at Asch, who brushes the matter off. "Please, take care of yourself! I—" he pauses. "I care about you!" You glance at Noi's baby-face. A faint hint of red is dusted over his cheeks and ears. You can't help but smile at his concern.

"Thank you, but I'll be ok."

You feel a pair of eyes bare into your back. Turning around, your eyes make contact with none other than the General: Pierce. He looks back at you, concern lurking in his eyes. You smile at him before waving goodbye to Noi and making your way to Pierce. "Hey pretty boy!" You wink, teasing him. His face reddens. He averts his gaze again and clears his throat.

"I—" he stutters, flustered.

Lady Grandma gathers everyone's attention. "The soul, bring it to me, handsome boy." She turns to Pierce.

"Huh?" Leif groans in confusion.

"The... WHAT?" You burst in anger. The very soul that the council was trying to protect?

"In order to transfer it into my potion, I'll need to hold hands with someone who possesses some light of magic, and you just so happen to be my type, Pierce." She winks at him, as the General's cheeks redden.

"Hahah! She's right," you joke. "And you happen to be my type as well~" another one of your jokes slip out of your mouth.

"I—" Pierce is at a loss of words.

You burst out in laughter. "I'm joking, I'm joking!" And with that, the conversation continues, who would be the one to use magic for lady Grandma? Soon, it was settled: Noi would help.

One of the Daemos Hands Lady Grandma the soul.

A portal appeared, prompting you to enter it. 'Earth', it read.

"Are you ready, (Y/n)?" Asch asks.

"Yeah..." you reply, grabbing his highness's hand. "Let's go." And on cue, the two of you jump through, followed by the rest of his fleet.

You arrive. A stinging sensation immediately manifests itself in your throat. "What..." you pant. "What is this?" Your knees give out. As you sit on the ground, trying to readjust yourself for the atmosphere.

You pant uncontrollably, the crushing feeling in your lungs becoming more and more unbearable. Your vision begins to blur, as you lose focus.

"(Y/n)!" Someone shouts, as your world turns black, body giving out. You collapse on the ground.

———

The daemos panic. Asch rushes to your unconscious body, shaking you. No response... "no..." as if on cue, his highness falls limp.

A young woman approaches the group. "Are you okay?!" Just then, she notices the limp bodies resting against the pavement.

"Please! Help her!" Noi cries out in helplessness. Quickly, Pierce picks up your body while Leif and Noi prop Asch up.

You soon awaken in an unfamiliar scene: in an apparatus that humans called a couch.

The daemos rush to your side. Noi, in tears, embraces you as the rest crowd around you.

"Where... are we?" You mutter.
