"Where... am I?" You stare into each one of the daemos' faces. A moment of silence passes before someone speaks up.

"You're on Earth," Rhys says, taking one of your hands into his with a worried expression on his face. "But are you ok? You shouldn't force yourself to move right now..." his eyes are cast downward in melancholy. Another voice chimes in.

"Oh! You're awake!" A young woman clad in a purple sweater sprints towards you. The prince is quick to restrain her. "AGAIN?! Didn't one of you hold me hostage right before?!" She yells in an annoyed tone.

"Listen carefully," Asch begins in a harsh tone. "If you hurt my friend and trusted advisor, you will be much more than a prisoner..." the woman gulps before he lets her go. She comes closer to you.

You take some time to study her appearance. Her long raven locks frame her face, bangs slightly covering her pink irises. She wears a worried expression on her face as she gently takes your hand in hers. "Are you ok?" She starts. "Your friends were really worried about you.

"I... I see..." Your eyes scan the room for the daemos' reactions, they're all averting their gazes. "Thanks everyone." You smile, shifting yourself up. Leif is the first to rush closer to your figure.

"Don't force yourself, (Y/n)." This is the first time in a while he's acted so seriously. You clear your throat, thinking of what to say.

"I'm fine now, it's ok..." you flinch as a sharp pain draws itself to your head. The Daemos inch even closer. The pain dissipates before you continue. "No really," you start. "I'm fine." You manage a weak smile before the woman speaks up again.

"Do you need anything?" She asks.

"Water..." you place your hand on your throat, sitting up on the couch. The woman quickly disappears into another room. Pierce quietly sits next to you, running a large hand down your back, sending shivers down your spine. "Thanks, prett— Pierce." You catch yourself from saying 'pretty boy'.

"Are you really ok?" Noi's eyes waver as tears brim his eyes at the thought of losing you.

"I'm fine... this happens all the time." You say, biting your bottom lip. That's a lie, it only happens when you don't get sleep. You can't afford worrying the daemos any longer.

Asch rushes to you, grabbing your shoulders firmly. He draws his face those to yours as he shouts. "Don't lie to me, (Y/n)! You bit your lip, you always do that when you lie!" Your eyes widen in shock, how did he even notice that?

"How did you—"

"Come on, I've known you since we were kids! You're practically my—" he stops himself swim continuing. "You're practically my sister!" A part of you is disappointed at his choice of words, but you're thankful to have a friend like Asch on your side.

The woman comes back with a glass of water. "Prisoner," Asch speaks. "I'll give (Y/n) the beverage." He attempts to take the drink from the woman's hands.

"I have a name, you know?" She turns away before facing you again.

"What's your name?" You ask her.

"Ava."

That's when you notice the mess in the room. The pot on the floor, the piles of lady-undergarments, the women's magazine scattered across the carpet. Yikes. It's a mess!

"What— happened when I was asleep?" Ava laughs before handing you the glass. She explains everything, from the time the daemos hung her on a tree, to how the apartment was a mess. You couldn't help but laugh at how helpless the daemos were. They carried you everywhere, looking for anything that could help you gain consciousness. That's when they came back for Ava, and how she said she could help you. The daemos has explained why they were here, and even got on their knees for her help.

———

Someone knocks at the door, Ava quickly retrieves it. As you and the daemos wait, they grow impatient and Asch rushes to the door, you follow him.

From your peripheral vision, you can see Ava talking with a senior, similar to Lady Grandma.

"Prisoner! Get back here now!" Your eyes widen at the tone of his voice. He was always gentle with you, and you almost never heard him being this harsh on anyone.

"Your highness! She has a name, address her by it!" You cast him a stern look as you grab his arm. Your chest ever so slightly brushed against him. He clears his throat before the elderly woman squeals.

"Oooohhh, I see what's going on here," She winked at you and Ava. and of course, she got the wrong impression. Ava scrambles for an excuse. Before slamming the door shut.

"If you're going to blend in, you need clothes!" That's what Ava said to you and the others before whisking you away to a store. You try on a variety of items before settling on a garment that fit your personality. Taking a look in the mirror, you come out of the fitting room.

"How do I look?" You question the daemos. They're at a loss for words. And with that, Ava paid for the garments and left for home.

You arrived with Ava, who slowly opened the door to her loft. The daemos took over from there, escorting you through the wall in the living room, and into the opulently decorated parlor room. It was just like the palace! "Wow, you guys really did this?" You joke, knowing full well that this was within their ability.

"Of course!" Rhys speaks. "Now let's get some rest, (Y/n), I'll escort you to your room."

"Wait! I'll do it!" Noi pipes up. And thus began the fighting. In the end, Asch was the one to escort you. After all, you were his childhood friend...

You couldn't believe your eyes! Your chamber was decorated even better than the way it was in the palace!

"A room fit for the prince's most trusted and valuable advisor." Asch takes your hand, planting a kiss onto it before seeing you off. "Good night, (Y/n)."

You laid in your bed, tossing and turning as the seconds tick by. You couldn't sleep. Today was just too hectic. Just hours before, you were suffering in Asch's quarters, working non-stop. And now? You're here on earth, assimilating with its culture. Maybe this was the break you needed... but if only you could get some sleep.

A knock is headed by your door. "Come in."

The door opens with a slight creek, revealing Pierce's figure. What could he want at this hour?
