A bearded man, Ava's father, sat in his office accompanied by a woman and his husband. The woman held out her cellphone towards the two men. On the screen was a photo of Ava. "No doubt that's Ava alright."
"I thought you said your daughter didn't have any social media?" The second man in blue looked Ava's father.
"She didn't." His face twisted in confusion.
"Hmm..." The woman thought. "I don't think Ava having a social media presence will be a problem to your campaign. But I bought it up because I got concerned about something" She stated. "my daughter mentioned she found Ava's account because she saw a picture of a hot guy wearing the horns she clicked it and it brought her to the account." She switched to the profile page. "I originally passed this off as a photoshop or something but that background..." she trailed off while staring at the screen. The father cut her off.
"That's Ava's apartment."
His husband offered his thoughts: "Maybe Ava had friends over and they photoshopped the picture and made her an account?" Ava's father shook his head.
"No, that caption is definitely Ava. I can tell she's been spending too much time on the internet."
The woman finally spoke up. "That's not all... take a look at this photo." She tapped on the one with you and the other daemos, the one with the men surrounding and eyeing you--an ever-so-present veil of lust clouding their eyes. Anyone could sense the tension between you and the men, just by looking at this portrait alone. The two men were a little take aback by it. Quickly, they noticed that it wasn't their baby girl, but a mystery woman (a strikingly beautiful one at that! Yes, I'm talking about you!).
"Interesting..." Ava's father spoke. "I'm taking the remainder of the day off." He turned to his husband. "Let's go visit Ava."
Back at the apartment, Ava was fiddling with something you didn't quite understand. "wow, this is a relic..." She muttered to herself. Rhys popped up.
"A relic you say? Is it powerful?" Ava yelped in surprise.
"Can it kill someone?" Asch's interest was piqued.
"No, I just need to fix it."
"Can I help you?" Rhys's eyes light up with excitement as Ava accepts.
Soon enough, the camera is fixed. You sit next to Ava and give your best smile as the camera flashed. The Daemos behind you smiled awkwardly. A knock came at the door as you and Ava got up to answer it.
Chaos ensued. The camera was thrown to the ground. The men at the door rushed to embrace Ava. Then one pointed a finger at you.
"And you! Who are you to corrupt our poor baby with your feminine whiles?" You arched a brow in confusion, unable to process his threats. Asch was the one to step in front of you, with one arm outstretched.
"Do. Not. Talk to my dear advisor and childhood friend like that. Have some respect!" His other hand charges an attack, you act quickly to try and dispel the situation. Everything else was a blur as the two men were somehow knocked out. The rest of the daemos slipped away into hiding as Ava swung the doors open.
"AVA, are you ok?" One man rushes to hug her. You had to admit, you had to admit, you were a little jealous of the attention from her guardians. Not that your parents abandoned you or anything, your childhood was normal--at best. But they always pushed you to be the best, to stand next to Asch and one day be his equal (you weren't quite sure if they meant that in terms of marriage or in terms of status). With a sigh, you stepped back. That's when the two men took notice of you. "Oh, you're the girl in the photo, right?" You cocked your head to the side.
"What are you doing with so many men? You aren't tying to do anything to Ava are you?" the man interrogated you. Before he could continue Ava intervened.
"No wait!" Ava yelled. "Her name is (Y/n)! She--She's one of my friends! She's an upcoming model and I promised to help her with a practice photoshoot!" Ava lied. The man's expression softened as he opened his mouth to speak.
"No wonder those guys were looking at you like that." The man wearing the blue squares gave you an all-knowing look while you, on the other hand, wore one of confusion. "You're literally a goddess!"
"I-- thank you?" You weren't sure how to respond to that. Noi was the first one to pop up. Ava's father noticed his presence and introduced himself.
"Who are you?" He faced the pink-haired daemos. Without thinking, the daemos began to speak.
"I'm Ava's boyfriend." He beamed as the two elder men gaped their mouths in surprise. The man in the blue squares was the first to regain his composure.
"Oh my god! Our baby has a-- Pump c'n why didn't you tell us sooner?" he turns to Noi. You have no idea I was so worried about our baby she had a hard time makingfriends at school and I--" The other man cuts him off.
"You're oversharing again, dear."
"Um, yeah he's my boyfriend..." Ava awkwardly laughs.
"Well when were you going to introduce us?" The man in the green tie extends his hand. "Name's Andrew nice to meet you." You couldn't really bear to watch any more of this. Something inside of you made your stomach churn in jealousy. You didn't know why. All you could catch was the man in blue' s name: Devon. You and Noi were invited to have a meal with Ava's parents.
Asch called a meeting in the main parlor and they were waiting for the three of you to return. He paced back in forth anxiously. The prince couldn't bear the thought of losing you, neither could the rest of the daemos. "What is going on?" He shouted, fearing the worst.
"...they were probably killed... Ava mentioned that her parents are very powerful." Rhys hated to admit it, but it was the most likely scenario.
"NO! I refuse to accept that!" Asch pounded his fists together before You and your group made it through the wall in a panic.
"Ok here's the deal," Ava said in a panic. "My parents want to take Noi and I out to eat on a date or something. (y/n)'s coming too. I need you guys to hide their horns."
"A date?" Asch arches a brow in suspicion.
"Like courtship, your highness." you tried your best to respond calmly. Inside? You were quite a mess; a storm of jealously was bubbling up inside of you. Yikes.
"Prisoner, leave we need to talk." Asch quacked at the black haired girl. And she did just that.
The fleet was in a panic, unsure of what to do. "(Y/n), I trust you to keep Noi at bay." Asch softens his expression as he grabs both of your wrists lovingly. Rhys and Leif seem amused by this but don't comment.
"Noi, I can't believe we're trusting you with this but you need to listen this is important if you can get married to Ava then we can get the humans to give us their magic!" Rhys panicked. The statement gave you a form of relief: that Noi wasn't marrying for love.
Asch's expression turned serious as he let out his next statement. "Lady bish married into our family and gave us her magic. It must work the same here as well. You need to win the approval of her parents but also you cannot tell any of them about damos her parents seem wise they may know about our world we cannot risk that." His long sentences dragged on. Rhys began to work his magic as he explained to Noi what to do. And you? Your job was to keep Noi in check, to make sure this mission would be a success. This was going to be a long day....
