chapter 15: Promise that you'll catch me, part 2 out of 4

Ella's p.o.v 

"Are you ready to go, Helios?" 

I'm taken out of my trance by Magneto's voice. I look up at him and nod. "You nervous?"  He asks. I nod, again. "It's the place i once called home, you'd be nervous too.." I say, brushing a strand of my chocolate brown hair behind my ear. He chuckles quietly and smiles.. wow, a decent smile from him isnt so scary as the ones he used to do when he was the enemy. "Everyone's nervous the first time, no need to be ashamed of it."

I slip on my mask and follow magneto out of the cave. "How are we going to get to the mansion?" 

"We'll fly."

"We'll what?" i say quietly. 

He grabs a hold of my hand and gives me a reassuring nod. I narrow my brow at him and look down. "Okay, just... just don't let me down." I gulp. He laughs and jumps down the cliff, dragging me down with him. Screaming in the process, i didn't even realize we were... well, floating. 

"Ella, we're okay now."

He's never used my real name before.. heh. 

I open my eyes and look down. 

Everything from a birds eye view is so beautiful.. i can see the forests and the fields of corn and..

The mansion.

Maggie's p.o.v

Kurt sat in the back of the car, while Peter is in the passenger seat while im driving. We have the hood down, listening to the quiet hum of the grasshoppers as we zoom by. "So, what are we going to do when we find her?" Kurt asks. I think for a second. "Honestly, i dont know. We just got to make her realize that Magneto is the bad guy. not us." I huff out. Peter scratches his head before looking up. His eyes widen as he turns his body to see more of what he was looking at. "Uh, Maggie?"

"What?"

"Magneto and Ella are headed for the mansion-"

i slam my feet into the brakes, turn the car around quickly and speed back to the mansion as fast as i could. Kurt quickly put his seat belt on (like the wimp he is) ((A/N: ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT, DONT BE LIKE MAGGIE UNLESS YOU ARE MAGGIE HAHA)), Peter held on to the dash board and i tried to dodge every branch in the road.

As soon as we got to the mansion, some of the property was in flames. "Ella..." Kurt whispers. I look back at Kurt and then at Peter. "Peter, you go help the kids, Kurt you go find Ella-"

"What?! Are you crazy, you know Ella hates me!"

I shake my head. "Kurt, you really are dense. She may be the bad guy right now but, it doesn't mean she cant change. Show her that you do love her. Do everything you can to help her.. we're counting on you Kurt. I'm counting on you." 

He pops his fingers and bamfs away, towards the mansion. 

"What are you going to do, Mag?"

"Fight Magneto, of course."

Kurt's P.o.V

The mansion was filled with smoke, thankfully there are no kids in sight. I hear the sound of fire igniting and i know it's Ella. I bamf around the area and finally spot her but.. she looks so different.. 

Her hair is cut down to her shoulders and she looks more... aggressive. I get closer and closer... 

she turns around and stops using her power. "Kurt?" She mumbles. We both stand there for a second before i break down.. which, i didnt mean to..

"Ella, please... don't do this, you are so much better than this.."

"Oh, really now? 'Im so much better than this'? Well, Kurt, how about we talk about how YOU hurt me? I loved you! I gave you my everything, and what do i get in return? Nothing! You hate me! You hate me just as much as my own mother! Why can't you just love me?" 

At this point, tears are going down her face, i take a step closer.

she doesn't move.

i take two steps closer.

she doesn't move.

Slowly, i wrap my arms around her and the flames slowly die out. Soon enough, she's sobbing while trying to punch my arms, which feel like.. feathers? i dont know... 

She pulls back and looks down at her feet. "I... i  really am an idiot..." She says, laughing a bit. 

I shake my head. "No, you were just confused." I say. She looks back at me and bites her bottom lip. I smile and quickly give her a peck on the lips. I guess that isnt enough because as soon as i pull away, she cups my face and pulls me back in. Its not the first kiss i was expecting or hoping for but, believe it or not... 

"I love you."
