Mink couldn't believe it. She had followed her. The woman who she hated the most. The woman she had to protect the orb from. This was it. Her running days were over. "How could I have been so stupid?!" She thought to herself. She was mad for not thinking this woman would find her. In here of all places. A place that seemed obvious for her to go. She felt so dumb for not thinking before going here. Even though she had and felt it would be safe here. The woman put on a fake sad face and spoke more.
"What? Did you forget me?"
"How could I?"
"Oh look, you even have some new friends."
"Leave them out of this."
"Oh, you even have a little boyfriend too it seems." The woman began to smile. Mink hadn't noticed Nathan was still standing right next to her. She was filled with both embarrassment and anger. Both because of this woman. "Now, hand over the orb," The woman commanded, "and I may let you all live."
"Why would I believe you?" Mink asked. She was really mad now. She loathed this woman. She was the only one who knew her, but still hated the woman. She hated her guts. She hated the thought of her. She really hated this woman. She clenched her fists in rage.
"Hey Mink, who is that?" Nathan asked her. He could see she was mad. He saw the hatred in Mink's eyes. But he didn't know who it was standing before them. He knew that everyone else in the group didn't. So only Mink could really say who this was. Whoever they were, Mink seemed like she wanted to kill them.
"The same person who's been hunting me," Mink explained, "the same one the previous alliance failed to beat, and entrusted me with the orb." Now Nathan knew who it was. This the same evil woman Mink told them about some time ago. This was the woman that could never obtain the orb. This was Rowenia Queen. He couldn't believe it. Rowenia had actually found Mink. This was really bad. If she got the orb then things would be worse. Were they going to have to fight her? Or would they try to run?
"So you lied to them," Rowenia laughed, "little Mink told a lie to protect herself." Mink gulped. Now the others knew. Well, those she told the story. So Leroy and Snapdragon would be confused way more than the other three. But she didn't lie to those two. She felt bad for doing so, but she didn't lie completely, she just left stuff out. Thinking about it, even though it wasn't a complete lie, still made her feel bad.
Why had she lied? She could barely remember. She even fooled herself into thinking it was the truth. The looks of confusion from her new found friends burned her inside. She knew the feeling of heat well, but this seemed more to be from her guilt. It was agonizing. This feeling she'd only felt once before. On that day. The same day she knew Rowenia meant. That day was the same as when she first felt that guilt.
"Go on," Rowenia mocked, "tell them who you really are." Mink didn't want to listen to Rowenia. She was right though. She had to tell them. She had kept it from them for some time now. She had grown closer to each and every one of them. Well, except Snap since he hadn't been around long enough. She tried to speak but was at a loss for words. Why? Why couldn't she speak? "Oh, at a loss for words," Rowenia said in a fake friendly voice, "I guess it's not the first thing you've lost." Mink was furious, and yet, she was too sad, remembering the events of that day. "It all started when Mink and the other members of her alliance," Rowenia began, "came after me to stop me, I had just destroyed this base too."
Mink pushed away the rubble that lay on top of her. The base of the Alliance, her only home, was in ruins. Rowenia was strong, she did all of this herself. Mink heard a moan from nearby. She saw a hand poking out from under the rubble. She ran over and pushed off some of the debris. Her sister, Riverlight lay there. She was unconscious, it was a wonder she survived. It was a wonder any of them survived. Mink shook her sister awake. River didn't respond at first, but then slowly opened her eyes. She was about to say something, but Mink shook her head to tell her not to. She looked around and saw her other friends getting up and brushing themselves off. The other two were named Angel and Black Goku Jr.. Angel was from a universe where each person living there had an animal they were able to turn into, she was able to become a fox. It wasn't that good for fighting opponents, but her lack of strength was fine since she excelled in speed. She was perfect at making swift attacks in her fox form. Black Goku Jr. was from an alternate version of the Dragon Ball universe where Goku Black had achieved his goals, Black Goku Jr. was the spawn of Goku Black, however not an actual son. While their looks were the same, somehow Black Goku Jr. had a skin color like his name. Yet unlike Goku Black, Black Goku Jr. wasn't evil. He was able to produce Ki Techniques and even use Ki as a blade. He was a specialist in Martial Arts and was a demigod. He wasn't immortal sadly. He wouldn't age but could be killed.
