Navia's POV
I can't bring myself to look at her ugly self. All I can do is to listen to my songs and feed on this tacos so I won't get mad again. I'm serving this punishment because of her. I didn't mean to burn the house down just her stupid looking babyish room. Now I have to stay in this cramped car till we get to L.A.
Our cars and some other few stuffs that survived have been sent on air but I am stuck in this car ride because my dumb twin sister lied that she was always airsick. It's obvious that it's a punishment for me because she knows I get road sick easily. We traveled to Maimi last summer by air and she wasn't sick. Scum bag.
Damnit. All I could take was our emergency box. All my new jeans, sport shoes, heels, tops and dress are all gone. I'm going to deal with her for this.
All my life, I've done things in her way. Maybe, just maybe if we get to L.A things can start a fresh. Everyone likes to believe the worst about me and the she just thinks she's the best. Isn't that pretty shitty? I just hate being with her.
"Navy. Navy", I heard faintly.
"Navia, can you share your tacos with your sister?", I heard my mom say.
I remove my earpiece from my ears turning to face skai. She eyed me with a bad expression written on her face before she finally said"No". I wasn't even sharing in the first place.
From the picture I saw, the new house might be bigger. I hope so. Just that mum and dad might have to travel alot than before. It means I will be stuck with my dumb sister. Isn't that a big deal?SKAI'S POV.
Navia is know for her mischief.
Always bringing confusion too the family. "Dad, how much more does it take to get there?", I asked impatiently.
"Darling, almost", he piped trying to face the road. It took us 4 hours to drive from California to L.A and Navia was looking like she would vomit soon. She hates long drives but it's her punishment for being a lousy trouble freak. I love her face right now.
"Home sweet home, darlings", my dad said trying to park into a garage. My worst day on earth. The house looked so big from outside. I never liked mansions, just comfy medium sized houses. Our former house was a five bedroom duplex but from my view I think this house has about eight rooms. So much space wasted.
"Girls, let's tour the new house", my mom called out. Just about 48 hours ago, Navia burnt down a house and now she's jumping around grinning like an eight years old.
I know even if Daddy didn't tell me that they spent a lot to furnish the new house. I can remember how the fire started vividly.************
I was just about to do my morning routine when Navia bursted in my room.
"Skai, I can't find my charger", she bursted out in a loud voice.
"So what am I supposed to do to that now?", I replied trying to cut her off.
"I need yours"
"Come get it", I said in a bad mood. I actually meant the opposite.
"I need it Skai", she said desperately.
"But I'm charging mine. Please you've over stayed your welcome. Leave my room", I screamed back.
She walked out in her usual violent anger. With her the house was always a tempest. I heard her storm down stairs.
I had just finish dressing and I wanted to start drying my hair when she came back.
"I thought I told you I had nothing to give you", I said plugging my hair dryer.
"Ohh, sassy ass. This is what happens to sass freaks like you", she screamed.
"Hey, don't do anything stupid", I said standing up. Even before I could face her, she had started doing something stupid. She had set fire on the charger with a lighter.
"Navy, what are you doing?", I said as I watch the fire spread to the socket.
"Say bye to your little charger", she said laughing. Boom!!. The fire alarm went off.
"Navy, Skai", my mom called out.
I raced down the stairs. I couldn't even think of what to do. All that was in my head was the way the fire spread to every part of my room. My phone, bed, clothes, everything is gone. As we got down stairs, my dad has started driving the cars out of the garage and mom was packing the emergency boxes.
"Call the cops", my mom said in between a fit of cough. The fire was already spreading its fume. Mom packed the other things while I made the call. As we got outside, my dad had parked all the cars far from the house. We watched for some minutes as the fire consumed our house.
"I wish this wasn't happening", my mind screamed.
The cops were here and the fire service were trying to put the fire away. When we were sure the fire was away, dad led the way to an hotel with the rest of us driving behind.
When we got to the hotel, I could hear dad talking to an agent. I think he had the house before but he had to furnish it using the insurance money. After the call, dad came to our room. "Guys, we are moving to Los Angeles first thing tomorrow", he said.
And that's how we found ourselves moving to L.A.Author's note
