Navia's POV
I'm having a good time. Classes were weird but I got to meet a lot of people. Skai not being on my table is enough good time. I can see her with some inferior people. Skai, always known for making friends with goody-goodies like her.
So many handsome figures at school. I chose to make friends with the popular people. I got kicked out of the cheer group at my former school because of Skai. I don't mind joining the cheer group here for the pep rally I saw on the notice board. Sky thinks cheer groups are dumb. She once said cheer groups are for nasty, conceited, bullies and meanies. Well, I think she's dumb.
"Sophie, how is your pep rally always like?", I asked in a surprisingly sweet voice.
"Every year our pep rally is to show off our cheer steps and other talents too. Our cheers are the main thing the other stuffs are not regarded", Sophie said in a fake voice.
I guess the high school movies were true. So many meanies around. I thought I was mean till I found my boss. Sophie is the boss of the meanies.
"So, the other girl", she said pointing at Skai's table. "That's your twin sister", she said more like a question even though it was obvious.
"Yeah", I answered.
"Why are you guys not sitting together or making the same friends?"
"Different choices, moreover, we don't get along much", I said trying to look at my food.
"Well, I am so use to Mahaadah and Maheerah's relationship. They attend different classes but they are so close. They are the only Muslim girls in the school and they were the only female twins before you guys came", she said pointing at some girls on skai's table.
I tried to look at their faces. They were on a trendy but modest clothes. I guess it's because of their religion.
"Oh, the islamites", I asked.
"I think the correct word is Muslims", Sophie emphasized lazily.
"Oh", I stuttered.
If I had said that in front of Skai, she would have laughed till she falls from her seat and peed in her pants. She does research about different tribes and religions in the world. So whenever I say something wrong about it, she does the laughing thing.
"She thinks she's perfect", I thought angrily.
"You seem to know a lot about them", I said instead.
"Who doesn't?", She said in her fake girly voice again .
"Does that mean they're popular?", I said with a string of jealousy in me.
"No. They barely even try out popular stuffs", Marcus explained. This was the first time someone else on the table talked. Sophie was always doing the endless talking.
"Their dad has 70% ownership of Alpha TV. He is the CEO, others are just share holders. Every year he gives each of them two tickets to the Alpha world fest. These tickets cost a fortune and I will actually do anything for it. I know you didn't see that coming. The family is some modesty freak kind", she said looking at her phone. She is mostly with her phone that you wonder if she is reading what she tells you from her phone.Skai's POV
If you're a girl that sees a lot of Disney or Nickelodeon movies, it's likely that you fantasize a lot. Believe me, you don't want to know what my fantasies are about. Crazy and wide fantasies because I see a lot of those movies. It makes you believe perfection. Well, it makes you happy so you're left to filter the information you get yourself.
I was having a good time with these guys just like my fantasies.
"My dad is actually the CEO of Alaph TV station. They show teenage movies and the likes of it", Mahaadah explained. The twins were so adorable. I wish I Navia were like this but Navy was such a nut wacko.
"Alaph TV? Tell me one of their movies", I said playing dumb. I still couldn't believe it.
"You don't know Alaph TV? Where do you live?", Pious said laughing.
A laughed a little too feigning a frown.
"Call from the stars", Mahaadah said smiling.
"Call from the stars?", I screamed standing up. Ok, the whole room was looking. I tried to comport myself as I sat down.
"Call from the stars?", I whispered this time.
"Yeah", Mahaadah whispered back with a wide grin.
"They support the acting of Muslim child actors too. Other TVs make that rare. Well, it's not bias with others. Just gives privilege to the people with talents. We also publish books and our Muslim actors can use hijab just like this", she said tugging at her scarf.
Just then the alarm went off. "See you after school", I said waving. "Wow", I smiled at my luck. I just made friends with the children of Alaph's CEO. I could use that to spite Navy.**********
"You should probably come to our house today, please", Mahaadah pleaded on the phone. We had become closer in the recent times and they were my new besties.
They would come here at weekends and we would do fun stuffs. Mum always found them adorable. They weren't proud or saucy to anyone because of their wealth or beauty. They never flaunted their wealth neither were they activists. Just loving and accommodating.
"Ok, I will tell mum about it", I answered.
"I want to speak with Mrs Marson", Maheerah screamed from the other end.
"Mum, your favorite wants to speak with you", I screamed across the sitting room.
"Is that Maheerah?", Mum asked as she grabbed the phone.
"Ok but she must come back before seven", I heard mum say.
"So you can go see your friends after you take that carton to the garage", she said. I trust my mom to always do stuffs like that.
"She's going to see the twins?", Navia asked as she came in.
"Sure, aren't they my friends!", I answered going to pick up the carton. You should really see Navy's face right now. She looks like she's been beaten.Author's note
At last I achieved the aim of making Navia's POV longer. I really missed you guys 😍 but it's been difficult to write when you have so many distractions e.g social media and alot of books. Maybe I should make it up to you guys.
Please try to appreciate my little effort by commenting and voting by pressing the little star at the bottom.
Remember that I love you guys ❤️❤️
