Toshi despised himself for deciding to wake up so early. He thought that he wouldn't have to do such a thing again till the official matches began. However, after Toshi saw the practice match between the first years, he couldn't help but want to push himself even more (as he previously mentioned to a few of his team members).

The second year also couldn't wait for one of his best friends to come back to school. After learning that they would be in the same class as each other for a second year in a row, Toshi couldn't stop himself from feeling overjoyed. Nishinoya Yuu was the first friend that Toshi ever made when he first moved to Miyagi back in his first year. The two had bumped into each other a day before school had started And they instantly started practising volleyball together upon learning that the other was planning on joining Karasuno's Volleyball team.

Toshi lazily munched on some onigiri (he would prefer to eat some cream puffs but Kanna forbade Toshi from eating them for at least a day or two). The male wiped off some rice that was around his mouth, his mind briefly drifting towards Osamu, as he continued his journey to the gym.

"Oshi-kun!"

A stinging sensation rang through Toshi's head. Someone had launched themselves at Toshi, causing him to hit his head on the door frame before falling to the floor.

"Ah! Oshi-kun! I'm sorry!"

"Wh-?" Toshi mumbles out as he is helped to his feet.

"And here I thought that I was going to be welcomed back with a bunch of tears and hugs. You must have hit your head pretty hard..."

".... Omg! Nishi!!"

A huge smile makes its way onto Toshi's face and he immediately engulfs Noya into a hug. The shorter male chuckles as he returns the hug. Kageyama and Hinata watch the scene from a distance. To them, it seemed as if a wife was greeting her lover who had just returned from war. They had never seen Toshi act like this with anyone else before. And they had to do it... They had to ask...

"Are you two dating?!" Kageyama and Hinata exclaim.

Noya and Toshi look at each other for a second before bursting out in laughter. A few tears escape their eyes.

"Nope, we're not dating. After all, Oshi-kun has his eyes on someone else." Noya answered, patting Toshi's back.

"W-Wh- Nishi! Don't give out that information! You're the only one who knows!" Toshi began to panic.

"Oh shit."

After convincing Toshi that they wouldn't tell anyone (along with Noya promising that he wouldn't tell anyone else about his potential crush on a certain Inzarizaki student), Tanaka, Daichi and Suga enter the gym and they instantly greet the libero.

"Let me introduce you." Daichi says, "This is Nishinoya, a second year."

"Hey! You guys are first years, huh?" Noya asks, "You, the guy that was serving! The tall guy with the nasty glare. What junior high are you from?"

"Kitagawa Daiichi." Kageyama answers.

"Seriously? That's a power school. No wonder you serve like that. We played against you guys and lost 2 to 1." Noya gushes, "Your serve was amazing then, too."
