CHAPTER ONE
THE RETURN
The satisfying tropical aura, and the delectable aroma of Jamaican cuisine hit Ann like a long awaited breath of fresh air,as she emerged from the busy arrival area and into the bustling outer Montego Bay Airport.
It had almost taken her, over an hour to leave the densely packed air conditioned check out room ,and with all the time it had taken her,she had slowly became more and more worn out and agitated.
Now tired ,on edge and a bit hungry, the delectable smell of all her favourite Jamaican foods perpetuating the air wasn't making the situation any better, and her knowing stomach growled in enthusiasm.
Quickly she moved through crowds of overly eager families, who didn't have a care in the world who they bounced, or stepped on, As they screamed and hugged ,rushing to greet their arriving loved ones as they came into view.
Living up to their known punctuality and exemplary service,Among many other outstanding qualities they had,Like a blessing in disguise on Que she spotted her assigned pick up a private shuttle service that she had used over the years whenever she needed a quick Transfer from place to place.
Tipping the young man who had brought her packed suitcases that were mainly filled with items, given to her from aunties and uncles and her mom who kept on reminding her what cousins or family member she should give each item they had packed and sent over.
Somewhere along the line she had manage to become Ann express,Thanks to her diligent familial customers who had managed to convince her ,like they do all the time, insisting and stating that they would pay for the extra luggage as long as they were able to send gifts back home safely to the extended family.
Stuck with the responsibility of safely delivering all the different stuff she had, skeptical she handed her overweight luggage to the driver a tall skinny young man who seemed as if he could barely lift a pin warning him to be very careful because she had very important things in her luggages.
Hands on and attentive ,Agreeing he reassured her politely, that her luggage were in safe hands and to her surprise, like a hulk he lifted her bags with ease, placing her bags down gently as she had requested.
It didn't take long for the car to be well on its way,Cruising on the tar paved road and navigating the late heavy evening traffic while giving away a sneak peak of all the luxury and beauty the city of Montego bay had to offer.
Enticing aroma of the different foods been prepared,Top Tier hotels, white sandy beaches, sunny weather that turns a beautiful warm whenever the sun sets and exciting genres of Jamaican and international music that blared from small shops and buildings as they pass by.
Like many hotels and resorts on the north coast the half moon resort wasn't far off and not long after, the car was turning on to the luxurious resort. One of the resorts in Montego bay not only known for its beauty and close proximity to the airport but also for its historic achievements such as hosting queen Elizabeth the second among others.
IT was one of Ann's favourite resort among all the others she had been and each time she had visited Jamaica over the years whenever she needed sometime for some peace ,fun time and relaxation , whether alone or with friends or family the half moon resort was her go to place.
Like always a cool drink was offered to her as soon as she entered the resort and her overly tired body that didn't even had a wink of sleep for over nine hours buckled in relief as she was directed to an overly comfortable sofa that she wish she could just spend the rest of the evening in without moving.
