Uncle ran towards me and Cassie in the most childish manner after eavesdropping in our conversation.

"You can't join the army!", he cried holding my hand as if he was losing his love of his life.

I looked down at him and laughed" I'm not going anywhere dummy", I said patting his head like he usually does to me.

He started to smile and went in the back skipping to the back as if nobody was looking.

"Uncle needs a wife already", I said smirking and as I turned around I felt this heated aura behind me. I was scared to look at her so I continued packing, maybe she would leave I thought to myself.

"Why do you keep doing this to yourself", Cassie said being the most concerned I had ever seen her. "What do you mean Cassie", I said with a big smile on my face. "Look at me in the eyes and tell me you want to stay here Kevin", she said with her hands on her hip like an old lady.

I looked her in the eyes and suddenly a lone tear slid down my face, I tried cleaning it with my hand and ended up getting dark dust on my cheek. Cassie reached out and wiped my tears and my face with a smile knowing she had proved her point.

"You know you can't hide anything from me crybaby", she said with the softest voice.

I could always be myself around Cassie, she stood by my side when my mother died and continued to do so up to this day. I wish I could repay her for all the times she was there when I wanted to give up on life.

"I really want to come with you but I have responsibilities and this business is...", I said being interrupted by her. "I'm leaving for the capitol at sun-down, so if you really wanna follow those dreams of your, now's your chance", she said with then turned around and left without looking down.

"Bye Cassie", I said to myself.

I continued my day with the most heart-rending mood. My mind kept thinking about what she said and what if she was right and that I should leave and follow my dream, but who would take care of my uncle and the family business. I wish mom was here to tell me what to do, she seemed like she was wiser than her years. Life has too many tough decisions.

My uncle kept looking at me with this concerned look on his face and every time I watched him, he looked away swiftly. "What's his problem", I said to myself shaking my head.

Uncle stood up and sat at the table where I was working. "You wanna go don't you?", he said looking at my dry face. "Are you crazy, and leave you behind, never!!", I said smiling at him trying to lift the mood. "When I was your age, I had a dream too", he said reminiscing back at his childhood. "I wanted to become an officer, save lives, and being a hero but my parents said I had to take-over this business so I took all my dreams and threw them away", he said with a serious face. "Well that's not such a bad thing uncle", I said. "Is that so, it hurts when I come in this shop and do something that I don't want to do", he said with a trembling voice. "Uncle, I didn't know that you felt this way", I said looking at his hurt face. He rustled my hair and told me, "It's almost sun-down, you need to go follow your dream son".

Tears ran down my face like a waterfall, my soul felt so warm when he reached out to hug me. I forget how this felt because I always try to be strong for those around me and ended up building up so many emotions that it all came out in that one moment, it felt liberating.

I ran home smiling with tearing flying in the wind and packed all the stuff that I have which is basically only Blinky (ork's name) and some money my uncle gave me to my trip to the Capitol. I packed Blinky in my bag and told him," We're going to follow our dreams buddy".

I ran passed my landlord and turned around while running and screamed, "YOUR'E PLACE STINKS!!". He showed me a very bad finger. I laughed and kept running to the gate that leads to the Capitol which is where Cassie will be.

I got to the gate and Cassie wasn't there, did she already leave, maybe she's just late I said to myself holding my knees breathing heavily from all this excitement
