Chapter 6: River Of The Lomes

After travelling through the forest with a new friend at their side through their adventures to the Capitol, they all encounter a huge river stretching through the entire forest.

"This thing is hugeeee", Kevin said stunned by the river.

"I've read about this river in my book, it is the River of the Lomes", Cassie said observing the massive tail of water.

"Say what now?", Kevin said confused.

"It's said to have a magical creature that guards it from people that wants to cross it", Cassie said to Kevin.

Blinky POV*

"Can't we just swim through this, I am good at swimming and  you can just fly", Blinky said to Stella.

Stella gasped with fright and went behind Cassie to hide.

"T-there really i-is a magical c-creature h-here", Stella told Cassie and Blinky trembling.

"Don't worry, I'm really strong so this won't be hard for me", Cassie said with a smile to comfort Stella.

"Don't worry Stella, I'll protect you from any stupid monster", Blinky said flexing his muscles.

Cassie and Stella stood shaking looking behind Blinky and pointing

"BEHIND YOU BLINKY!!!", Stella and Cassie shouted.

A huge monster jumped out of the water and was charging it's sharp teeth towards Blinky 

"Ahh", shouted Blinky unable to escape. 

SLASH!

Everyone eyes opened up in amazement.

"Nobody is ever going to hurt Blinky....", Kevin said after he protected Blinky with his amazing sword, "....not even ugly fish monsters.

Blinky eyes started to water after hearing Kevin words.

Kevin walked towards Blinky, patted his shoulders and said "Stop crying you baby, I'll protect you".

"He's acting all cool now that he has a stupid sword", Cassie whispered loudy to Stella trying to provoke Kevin. 

"O SHUT UP", Kevin shouted at Cassie 

"What did you just say Kevin?", Cassie said with a scary look

"Nothing Cassie", Kevin said fearfully.

"So you wanna take on this monster or you need a little help", Cassie said itching to fight it after trying to eat Blinky.

"I've been training for this moment for a while now, so I wanna show you that I'm not that little defenceless boy anymore", Kevin said 

Cassie smiled and sat to watch the fight. 

"Why aren't you stopping him Cassie, he's gonna die", Stella said to Cassie. 

"He's stronger than he looks, just watch and see", Cassie told Stella.

Blinky sat next to Cassie and watched as his master fought.

The monster leaped out the water staring at Kevin with a deadly look in his eyes.

"Come and get me you ugly piece of meat", Kevin said smiling with exitement at the be"ast

"ROARRRR!!!", the monster screamed charging towards Kevin.

Kevin jumped high up to the monster, dodged his gigantic teeth and pierced the side of it's belly. 

"T-t-that's impossible", Stella said shocked at what she saw.

"Nothing's impossible when it comes to Kevin, he's grown so much from how he used to be", Cassie said all proud.

Blinky got up, ran towards Kevin and jumped on his back. 

"Stop it Blinky", Kevin said giggling as Blinky plays with him.

The beast starting glowing on the ground and a bright blue spirit entered into Kevin's sword.

"What was that Kevin?", Cassie asked shocked.

"Well all magical monsters are made of potential, so when I defeated it, the potential was sucked into my sword making it stronger and now it can use some of it's significant attributes like maybe water or sharpness, I won't know till I try it out", Kevin said in one sentence out of breathe.

Everyone was confused and pretended to know what he was talking about and just smiled and nodded.

"Well let's swim across now", Kevin said then jumping into the water.

"Wait idiot, there's a boat right there and you can't swim dummy....", Cassie shouted," and he's already drowning".

Cassie jumped in to save him while Stella and Blinky laughed watching Kevin.
